Yes u are right, most general during military era became head of state and assumed the 4 star � rank, except ironsi and Buhari...however abacha was a 4 star general before becoming head of state ...Bali was also a four star general without being head of state and in a military regime

When I realized that it was Governor's,senators and Generals that were putting candidates,I didn't even bother myself again. No wonder they Kill them like fowl,cos most of the officers that join our Armed Forces are after statched khaki and the glamour et respekt that comes with authority..Buh not Patriotism or ruggedity... Politician's have failed Nigeria.

Whether magu-magu or shaku-shaku dey the list, what's yours is yours. Year in year out of the enlistment process, lobbying can never be ruled out, infact it has always being part of the process as far as Naija is concerned. Politicians etal lobby-ed for their respective candidates in the last exercise yet many got it without even knowing what *(represent in the army).
Having a god-father is very much allowed in this game, but having Father-God is the ultimate.

Your source is completely wrong.
If you go with this mindset you will assume that applicants on this thread who eventually get shortlisted got it without merit.

I know in army recruitment process there are governors candidates these candidates are referred to as "State candidates" in some occasions they are not sponsored by the governor but his aids.
Let the truth be told most of this candidates join up in training they are not part of the recruitment process they may come for board interview even when their names are not on the list.


As an applicant, I will advise you not to worry about governors or senators list, our worry should be the board members because if they have their candidates, they will use all means within their power to ensure those candidates scale through even if it means disqualifying the qualified.

Governors, Senators and their candidates shouldn't be your worry.

watch out for the board members and their candidates if you are shortlisted, that should be your worry.

Lol. If your source can know this much information, your name should be on the list as well. It means your source sees the changes that has happened over time.
