The course is done at NCAT zaria. You won't be allowed to get the license on ur own because of security reasons except you are a Staff sponsored by NAMA, FAAN, Aircraft Operating Agencies and other Government organisations involved in Air Traffic Services related activities.
The course fee is around N3.5m

Ugo4U, help confirm this information.

I just heard the list is gonna be released either end of this month....i.e last week of the month. ....or FIRST week of January... And the screening will be on the second week of January.

Help ask the askables* in your network.
Thanks bro

The truth is that many personnel are as clueless (with respect to the enlistment time-frame) as many civilians, which is no fault of theirs. The guys at abuja will have a concrete idea of what's really going on cos thats where the whole thing is being concocted.
This is where GenAnsahCinC comes handy na him source dey sure pass.

You can only do the course if you are staff of any of the above mentioned Aviation body. Even at that they must be the one to recommend you, personally I will advise you to go for a firefighting license, though not the same thing with a traffic control license but it will give you an edge over many candidates if not all in ur department. I am even surprise that they require an NCAA license for ATC when they know it is impossisble to get as a job seeker(maybe they expect staff of the above organisations to resign their jobs and come join them), which is quite impossible.
So try go get something closer it will be an advantage because even the army know you cant get an ATC license as job seeker.
Yes to ur question, it can only be obtained attending a flight school.(NCAT) is one of such schools it is in zaria, kaduna state. It can also be done at IAC ilorin. Be ready to cough out ungodly amount of money.

Around a million or more, I don't have that money o seriously I was surprised o.....asking a job seeker for ATC license.... thank you so much sir......I bet most candidates who applied do without the license. Is it possible to get the job without the license. thank you so much for your time once again, I really appreciate.

Honestly speaking that is what I can't tell. One thing I am sure of is that the aviation sector is one in which the regulating agencies never joke with despite the Nigerian factor. I am 100% sure that anyone applying under that department don't have that licence except he/she is an NCO in any of the arm of service whom must have being sponsored for the course or a staff of one of the regulating bodies in the aviation sector.
Any candidate who possesses that licence will be "automatically selected" based on my judgement because they are rare, aviation sector is one in which I am a part of, ATC guys no dey find work at all, infact I have never seen any looking for job.
Like I always say, there is no harm in trying, it is better they reject you for not having the license than not applyin at all, Nigeria get as e be. The army might just decide to select you and send you for the training, which I think is what is most likely to happen because they asking for that license is like looking for a virgin in a maternity ward.

My bro as far as the aviation sector most especially a specialised unit as the Army aviation wing is concerned, HSE is totally useless. Even if you are a Professor in firefighting if you don't have an NCAA license even a WAEC holder that has such license will be considered for the job. You might ask why is this so, it is like that because any organisation, airline etc that employ you will be sanctioned and their operating license taking away from them. Note that it is ICAO that regulates the sector in the world. And no country will like to be sanctioned because of any erring organisation.

I spoke with a personnel earlier today, in his own words he said "I don't know how or when they will release the list but the screening definitely won't be this month, Christmas is here already so probably first week of January. So just keep checking". He also made mention of the fact that NAF is currently doing theirs. I pressured him on why none of them officers ever admits knowing a thing or two about this enlistment and he laughed and replied "you won't understand until you join". Guys, lass lass na God hand we dey oh.

Please gallant men and women, I have few questions to ask...
1: How many months does it take to complete DSSC training?
2: Is there break during training like holidays to visit family and love ones?
3: what is the maximum years to serve as dssc officer because some said 15 while some said 10 years?
4: Is it possible for an officer to influence his/her posting to his desired place?
5: Is it possible for dssc officer to combine his/her military service to his private business?

Thanks in advance!!!
