Thank you for pointing this out, apparently "ours cases are different" . I'm in no way blaming Migri for their decision. Yanganbiwa: |

sirkezman: You got it all wrong Sirkezman. I've never said it's by my own power and am not acting god in any way. Neither did I do anything out of the ordinary. I read through few post where people think that there some kind of propaganda by Finnish(maybe true or not) to not grant them visa and am pointing out that we do all that is within our own means to provide all the things needed so that they don't find any loophole to deny us visa(or do u want me to encourage them to do the opposite?). If we don't do that, it's going to be us at their own mercy. God works miracle but am just encouraging us to do our own part too. Also I did some suggestions but we all chose to read other things. Tell me what I said exactly that is not true or how is it me playing god or condescending? 1 Like |

NeeYoh: Am so sorry for the outcome Bro... God knows best and will perfect your footstep. Don't let the circumstance deter you. If it's your ambition to come here, you will definitely come. Be persistent and you will grow out of it and conquer it. |

@Hafeez89 Thank u for your post. Firstly, God Almighty will grant us all study permit and renewal of study permit(we still dey hustle that one too) . Amen. If it comes out as though am bragging, please I don't mean it to be that at all (all my friends can attest to that). At the very end, God is the only one that grant favours it's not by our own making or perfection. Why I may not sound too friendly to Kofoironic was because of 2 reasons. Firstly, he was telling someone(tysamuel) off for asking question(u can check my comment where I quoted him). He tasted his own medicine and he doesn't like it. Secondly, we all know it's not easy securing visa/RP but even in the midst of our perceived "propaganda", how do we do our own best(mentally and financially, its draining). My pointing about my case was not to brag(not one bit) but to let Kofoironic know that the issue might be with his application(kindly note that the outcome can and hopefully will still come out positive despite the delay. We all would love to get decision quick so that we can move on to other phase of our life). Another Nigerian came in here too and went he to interview the same period. But most of us (me included) like to blame negative outcome on propaganda/something/someone while taking the positive outcome as a result of our handiwork. Why not see if there is anything you can/should have done differently (that was just my suggestion in that post). I have failed in some of my endeavours but I was brought up in such a way not to look for excuses but solutions. And if I think I've done my absolute best and it's not working out, then I move on. I pointed out a few things I "think" (I don't know for certain) will help our future application but so many people choose to see another thing. When I was preparing my application, I disturbed two persons on this group (I have never claimed to know it all) and through their guidance God granted me RP). |

Typical hypocritical bullshit -- talking from both sides of your mouth like your mouth was made to eat itself. Make sure you answer every enquiry here even if it has been answered before again and again, and while you are at it, also help everyone proofread and submit their applications, give them money too. Osinachi1:this is serious. qhat if someone use a sponsors account or lets say two sponsor's acct? besides, is like getting the full scholarship is becoming hard these days. |
Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by Nobody: 10:35am On Dec 10, 2018 |
chaiks: I don't know if they've changed how they do it, but around 2014, the funds must be in your own account (i.e you will provide your own SOA) plus SOA of your sponsors, probably to show that they still got money to feed themselves and their families |

Osinachi1:ok. maybe those who applied last year will throw more light. how can one apply for d fully funded scholarship apart from the tuition waiver? |
Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by Nobody: 11:22am On Dec 10, 2018 |
chaiks: There are two categories of scholarships Tuition waiver (partial, 80% for some schools e.g UEF) and Fully funded (100% plus living allowance) You get either of them, not both. You can be considered for scholarship based on your admission profile. There are usually no specific separate applications for scholarship https://studyinfo.fi/ 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by NeeYoh(m): 5:20pm On Dec 11, 2018 |
@Marcopolo65 and others, please see below for the new Finnish government rule that applies to Third-country nationals. Starting from September 1, 2018, researchers and students can be issued residence permits with a longer duration – the first permit can be issued for a maximum of two years instead of one. Starting from September, the residence permit for researchers can also be granted for persons conducting research with a grant. A researcher or degree student that has been granted a residence permit in another EU member state can enter Finland and perform research or study with an approved notification to the authorities, instead of applying for a residence permit for Finland. After completing the research or studies, the person can be granted a residence permit for the purpose of undertaking a job search or starting a company. The new Finnish law and the changes in the Aliens Act are based on the European Union Directive 2016/801/EU on the conditions of entry and residence of third-country nationals for the purposes of research, studies, training, voluntary service, pupil exchange schemes, or educational projects and au pairing. NeeYoh: You people should stop twisting rules and get things straight. It's not applicable to 3rd-world countries rather third countries, that is countries not within EU/EEA. This rule would apply to a US citizen coming to study in Finland, for instance. And you don't have to show proof of funding for 2 years, only if you have it for 2 years and you can get your RP for 2 years, otherwise, you show 1 year funding and get 1 year RP as usual... Finland not the best option though. They're hypocritically polite people. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello guys!! I recently gained interest in Finland But from what i have read on this thread, some people still got rejected for rp despite having scholarship Here's my question ; is it that having scholarship isn't enough, you still have to have/show proof of funds to sustain you for your program duration? Or you need Scholarship plus stipend to evade showing proof of funds or anything like that... And how possible is it to get both full scholarship and stipend?? Thank you!! |
