Yeah, I quite understand the story.

I see the plot as a chance too because he could have just said " hey, this is a scam" and moved on.
But then, for him to plot to catch that boy means he still had at least 10% belief that it was not a scam. So, I call that 10% a chance.

I remember when I tried this G-boy thing in the past. God punished me that my first 'client' was a fellow G-boy. The business quickly turned to two grown men trying to outscam one another.
