I've been following this thread for two years, though I've been a ghost member. I applied for admission at Keyano College, undergrad studies, nursing to be precise, around Feb 2018,but due to d number of people seeking admission nd the fact that I met d requirements, my name was wait listed nd I was given admission to study prenursing while waiting for d main admission, the school told me to use that for my visa application. I applied around May 2018 for d study permit processing, using d same admission letter nd was refused around July Reason: Insufficient funds and purpose of travel. That same July I got my main admission letter (Nursing) but it was too late cos d program was to start Sept 2018.I was sponsored by an organization nd they had N6M in their account nd dat was all I provided as proof of funds, the school doesn't accept fees from outside Canada so I couldn't deposit or pay full tuition nd the school doesn't defer nursing because it's very competitive so I had to apply again around October, I applied on time this time and was given the admission (Nursing) immediately. Now I'm planning to apply for my visa January or February. I really wish someone will put me through the process so that I won't make the same mistake. Also,my dad is late nd my mum has three houses, can property be of help? 1 Like |

Christycode: Hi, I don't know what you mean by 'putting you through', so I can't really help with that as i'm relatively new to the application process myself but I can help with the ones I know. About your mum's properties, if it's possible for them to be valued, get their official monetary values. Also get documents for the properties, ones that show them in your mother's name. Scan them and use for the application. Use them under financial support documents. 1 Like |

Great thread. Please, my wife is concluding her Degree in Microbiology in one of the Nigeria's universities. I want to send her to Canada to do her Master's. Note: Before we got married, she was given admission to study Pharmacy at the Niagara College. But, why processing for the Visa, she lost her father. We later got married and couldn't continue processing with the admission. She later got admission to Unizik to study Microbiology. She will be through next year 2019 and I want to sponsor her Master's in 2020. My Question... What school in Canada is very good and relatively cheap? Niagara College is kind of expensive. |

chibros02: How true it is for someone to use last two years GPA, because 400/500level GPA is above 4 point. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Nobody: 11:13pm On Dec 30, 2018 |
chibros02: Bros, if you know the number of schools in Canada, you'll do yourself a world of good by using Google to answer your question. That said, some schools want second class upper from Nigerians. In university of Saskatchewan, the entrance requirement is second class upper degree (note, this is not for the last two years of study). Other universities may be different so just check out the schools websites 1 Like |

My sponsor has 7 million in his savings account and 3 million in his fixed deposit account... My tuition fee is 18k CAD is the money enough to Sponsor? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by hardeholar1(m): 12:38pm On Dec 31, 2018 |
kelpreneur:First of all convert 7 million naora to Canadian dollars Then check your tuition fees plus 10000 CAD living expenses Sum it together If the figure is still within the range then it okay to proof that As a source of fund for your study But it won't be a bad thing if you can have more than that so that the VO will be totally convinced that you have the capability to finance your study 1 Like |

Here is my testimony! Applied July 20 Biometrics July 23 Upfront medical Medical passed sometime November. Passport Request December 11 Application approved December 25 (Christmas Miracle) Passport received today! The only secret to success is GOD. After Admission I was in a rush to submit my application for the fall intake, I was not even on nairaland or any other forum by then. After submission I came to realize the errors I made or I thought I made in my forms. I did not even know people needed SOP or Ielt until I joined nairaland. My application was without these. I got in contact with an Immigration councilor in Canada to assess my application, other than the tuition fee deposit paid, what was left in my dad’s account was not much, the councilor said I was likely to get rejected but I should still have faith. To be honest, my main concern is to begin my bsc degree in computing science. Since the delay was unbearable, I got admission to the Uk and was waiting for the rejection letter so that I can get my tuition deposit and start my degree in the UK. Then again I decided that I will be positive and I believed my application will be approved, after over 5 months wait having faith and praying was all I could do. YOU NEED TO PRAY OOO!!! That is the only good thing I did on my application, I PRAYED. Long story short, GOD came through for me Even when I was told I can’t get admission with neco, I applied to only two uni and got admission from both. Did I mention the only secret to success is GOD! A lot of times when we are faced with challenges, he does that to draw Us closer to him. (For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 ) You are next in line for a Miracle! 25 Likes |
