Some of these riders don't even know what is surge, they see 1. Something or 2. Something yet they request when it's time to pay they start crying

perhaps before you start the trip you should inform the rider that this is a surge trip.

If a driver works really hard to buy a car, that shows he his ambitious and have goals.

It happens to every human, we set ourself a goal and after achieving the goal, it only natural to cool down and relax.

For some they pick themselves up and start running again by setting another goal for themselves. Like buying a second car, so they inject some zeal and passion into the hustle.

The new goal gives them the motivation to wake up early and start hustling. Even lions don't hunt after eating, they rest for a week after eating before resuming for another hunt. Lion hunt at dusk and spend most of the day resting and sleeping.

Same thing happens to most people who have a car, since there is no pressure of meeting weekly rental, you feel relaxed.

Car maintenance also isn't moinmoin, something as car owners you spend a month earnings to repair your car.

Driver driving their own car on Uber with great discipline are trying. They deserve some accolades.

There is nothing wrong switching to work for another man, if you have another man work for you.

Many current car owners are currently working for another man while they use their car to earn some passive income.

I see nothing wrong in the decision and that doesn't make such decisions wrong or right.

Let learn to respect each other decision and choice. We are all running different race.

Collect any amount of money ur rider offer you and make a complaint to uber on the trip
The management will refund you accordingly

What annoys me the most about some riders that feel they know it all is that they look down on the driver. They are the type that order you around while you drive. One of the things that annoy me the most is some accusing you of starting the trip without informing them, meaning you started the trip before getting to them. My answer is always, " all you need about this trip is on your app, I don't need to show you my phone". The ETA for the driver to get to them is on the app, when a trip starts is also shown on the app. So why do I have to show you my phone.
Check the image below, taxify notifies a rider just like Uber does when they are paying more but many people are just too ignorant of things they do or use. The driver's details will be shown on the app but they will still call to ask for your name and vehicle type, even fare estimate is displayed. This one is so irritating too, requesting hazard light to be put on, but I don't listen to that.
For me o, I have always collected my full fare even when you are on X3 surge. Wetin concern me, shey be na you wan use luxury.

This one can be very annoying, the smart ones will know the driver have arrived but the Yeye ones will still be waiting for u to call them again only for them to start asking if you are at the black gate as if there's only one black gate.

Hi everyone, I'm based in Ibadan and currently on the Taxify platform as a driver. I must confess that I've learned a whole lot from everyone here. Though I have a regular job, I drive mostly at nights and weekends. On Sunday 30th, I decided to do a full day starting from 5am and I was surprised that I could make this much in Ibadan, perhaps it's because it was a Sunday.
I pray that this year brings in more opportunities and I'm willing to learn from the masters here since I'm still relatively new on the Taxify platform

I carried 2 reverend sisters on taxify 2.1x, fare was 5100, sisters said they used to pay around N2000 and I told them this is not normal fare, it's a surge trip, they can call the person who requested for them for confirmation because taxify would have shown him estimate. They paid me my money and I left. Later in the day a man called me, I guess he's reverend father, he started threatening to report me, I even assisted him on how he can successfully report, I said it wasn't me, it was a surge trip, he said why would I put surge? I didn't want to laugh even though holding back was giving me headache. Next thing the man started cursing, I told him only if it was a fraud will his curse locate me. Maybe taxify has explained better to him cuz I never hear from them, over 2 weeks now

because of my job, it's difficult to work full time during the day except weekends. I try to put in about 6 hours everyday where I make between 5k and 8k. I work between 5am and 8am before going to work and 8pm - 11pm after closing from work. For a full day, especially weekends, I have been making 10k to 15k on the average. I decided to stretch the number of hours I put in on Sunday and got 28k. So far, the experience has been worth it.

Hello house! Does anyone have any idea if Uber's Maryland office will be open tomorrow, being the 2nd of January? I intend to enroll on the platform since I am not doing anything and I have an eligible toks vehicle that could be used coming in soon. I already have a genuine license but my only challenge is my limited knowledge of lagos roads, I am very good at using google's map though. I literally have too much time on my hands and as a result, my mind turns to a 'devil's workshop' which makes me waste resources on useless adventures. I have been planning this for some months now. Tips wil be welcome from veterans here. My aim is to hustle for some months before quitting, I don't want to be idle for the mean time.
