Private Life had one of the most Unsettling but yet soothing ending to a movie I have ever seen..One of the best Netflix originals last year.

Bird box.... 6.5/10......Mtcheeeeeeeew...... i don't even know what was killing people.... when you see it you die.....
The movie name should have been "The blind place".....so that it correlates with the quiet place....

A quiet place... wen you talk loudly ...your hunted and you die....that movie nearly turn me to dumb person... I had to go and download subtitle. ...I started talking with low voice for house....

so I think the next movie will be the Deaf place or The scent place..... so that when you listen to something or when you smell something then your dead

The Quiet Place... Added to List

Will look into that Later

Just stop finding faults and enjoy the movie, friend. I noticed a few things myself but I didn't let it spoil it for me. Sometimes you shouldn't look too closely otherwise it will distract you from enjoying the movie

Thank you.

I can see that you intentionally left out AHCB after acronymising his moniker to 'Another Huge Case of Bullshite'

Are you still beefing him

For those that rated Lionheart 3/10, it's perfectly understandable as none of you understood majority of what was spoken in the movie which was Igbo. That for me was the major downside of the movie even as an Igbo boy that understood everything in the movie. Genevive goofed big time when she ignored subtitling the Igbo-spoken parts of the movie especially when Netflix bought the rights, which meant millions of people from different creeds and walks of life would be seeing it. It's a major turn off that'd reduce the success of the movie.

Even if it's subtitled, it'd take an Igbo person that understood the nuances of the spoken Igbo languages to really appreciate the movie and words. For example when Osofia told Phyno; "ifuro k'iru gi di ka mmiri omugwo" which loosely translates to "See how your face looks like the water used to bathe a new born baby during a mother-in-law's visit," someone that doesn't understand Igbo would've gotten the joke and probably laughed, but a full fledged Igbo person that understand the nuance behind the 'njakiri' (diss) would've ROTF when he heard it. The movie is nice.

Using Naija standard, I'd give it a 7/10.

My best Naija movie of 2018 still remains King of Boys. Planned on seeing Aquaman on the first of this year but we arrived late and King of Boys was the one showing and we settled for it. At the end of the movie, I was not left with any regret, plus my date enjoyed it as well. Win-win for me.

At the bolded, you are 100% correct & really took the words out of my thumb, the expression & the tone with which the jokes were said also makes it funnier.

Exactly. The tone really matters. Nkem Owoh was my stand-out performer in the movie. He made me laugh all through the movie from his grand entrance till he left. The man is a natural mehn!! I've re-watched the scene he exchanged greetings with Pete over 10 times. So much swag in the greetings. grin grin

Wow!!...surprisingly, I did the same at the bolded, had to call my sibling to come see it with me & share in the laughter....Those 2 veteran actors, really know their onions.. I think the movie was Pete's first comedy( Pete Edochie of things fall apart, OKONKWO the stern warrior).

Lionheart ....9/10
Genre : Drama, Comedy

The movie simply showcased the rich Nigerian culture & values. The story was simple & on point, the cinematography brilliant, the acting, impeccable (Genevieve really cast the best of the best in the industry for this movie). The movie wasn't just entertaining, it was educative as well,as it passed on several subtle messages. I really enjoyed the humor in the Igbo speaking scenes, as it gave me that nostalgic kinda feeling......Once again, a big thumbs up to Genevieve Nnaji for making us proud.

uncle goan sit down.. that movie na trash
