That is what made France world Cup win in Russia 2018 more of a collective effort. They had very good players, though not in the mold of Zidane (Mbappe might still achieve that) but all performed near their best and gelled together in that tournament: Griezmann, Pogba, Mbappe, Varane, etc. Similar to 2014 WC winning German team.

Im a big messi fan but you are really trying to downplay these guys achievements in a bid to uplift messi. Maradona took a mid table napoli in the toughest league in the world(then) to domestic and european glory.Same with argentina world cup exploits.i doubt messi can do that.
