If marvel/sony could spend a whooping #140m on just spiderman alone, i wonder how much marvel/disney will spend on infinity wars, since we all know that disney is a bigger company than sony. Its just common sense.

Disney spent over $180m to market Avengers; Age of Ultron movie as shown in the first screenshot. Thats why the total budget(including marketing) spent on this movie was $495.2 million.

Now, guess how much was spent on marketing infinity wars that disney was too shy to include the marketing cost into the total budget? The total budget (excluding marketing) for Avengers: Infinity War cost $321.2 million. If the budget for marketing was added to it, the total production budget will be over $550m (est). In fact, from what i could dig up from wikipedia about infinity wars, the money spent on media marketing alone was over $150m, the largest for any Marvel film. Take note, this is excluding all other media options that was done for the infinity wars film.

WB only has one in... Ready Player One.
Aquaman and Crimes Of Grindelwald did not make it.

Because of them we now have most popular film category.

I am glad you guys are now seeing the hand writing on the wall. I have said it several times that Disney spends huge money to promote it's movies, now it is evident that they are now influencing the Oscar awards.

Imaging, crappy ant man and wasp was nominated but top film like aquaman wasn't. Even movie flop Mary popkins was also nominated.

No wonder James wan was so pissed he used the fu*k word.

A lot of marvel films were nominated but no DC movie made the list. This tells you that Disney doesn't want any rival and they are ready to go to any length to pass their message.

Well, Disney knows how to play the game with their huge financial chest, it is high time for wb to wake up to the occasion.

Stop being a hater speak the truth, for instance I didn't like Gotg vol 2 but I agree to the fact that it's visuals we're absolutely stunning..... The world building was incredible and it deserved it VFX Oscar nomination although it lost to blade runner...

Being a marvel fan shouldn't make you a hater..... The VFX accomplished in Aquaman is ground breaking stuff never before seen in any movie.... It deserved a nomination at the very least..... It's not every thing you bring this nonsense fanboy war into.

Oga no one is taking about best picture nomination here....... Aquaman from what I've read isn't the greatest movie ever made..... But the VFX in Aquaman rivals that of Cameron's Avatar.... It surely deserved a VFX nomination....
