MasterforceII: While I believe this will not be a problem, I can only advise that you draft the letter by yourself and plug his name into it nicely as thought he wrote it (you can always get a template to guide you online) and then forward what you wrote to him. He only has to copy and paste into the space and then submit. A friend of mine did the same |

Sheq: There are various templates online. Find one and mimic it. But make sure you don't plagiarise Sha o. It's usually a trap you want to wary of before coming to the US. |

Mazzykay: This is my contribution: when talking about why you chose a school, leave out ranking if your school is not among the top 50 (+10 to be generous). SMSU cannot be among the 'best' colleges in the US and still be cheap, no top school is cheap, bro. And being cheap shouldn't be a thing you want to talk about. If cost was a problem for you, then you should not be considering American education in the first place. So just be careful with your choice of words next time. I hope you get more pieces of advice from other folks here. All the BEST! 1 Like |

Read the thread. It contains enough info to guide you. Look for schools. Write the standardize exam, if you can. It is a step by step process. Choose someone to reach out to that may further guide you should the info you find not complete or adequate. Good luck to you! RazurSharp: |

hello Guys....I am happy to be in your midst....just got to see this thread some few days ago....well, it did help me....my study visa was approved today but somehow I had an edge....I have before now successfully gotten a B1 visa visited the us and renewed the visa....so I had a running visa.... So I think that was what gave me the edge....however it's not always a guarantee that it would work that way.... My interview was very very strange....although I prepared myself from some of the transcript I got from here, the questions I was asked were quite strange...it didn't follow the normal generic pattern....one thing I want us to know is this guys conduct a thorough check on you even before you come....so times, they have decided whether to give you or not just from the DS...160 form we fill online....most of us don't recognize the fact that we reject/delay/turndown our applications by ourselves by carelessly filling our DS...160 form..... I sincerely hope to share from my own experience where I think many of us get it wrong....I have seen some transcripts here that were denied but nobody could spot why even when it was very clear why it was turned down....although these are my opinion and they may not be correct.... Hopefully in the coming days I hope to share my transcript and 2cent on what can be done to Better your chances of getting your visa approved ..... Thanks everyone I have also been struggling to type in this forum but just couldn't .....I didn't understand how to do that here at all....I only just succeeded now....so I hope to be more regular to contribute my own quota here....God bless us all 14 Likes |

Mazzykay:i feel so convinced you didnt read up to 100pages of chapter 13... you people should always read back , you could have used another word in place of aprenticeship, there are numerous oppurtunities in all schools...why not mention what makes yours standout? the highschool.mate is even so unncesarary... even though you have been out of school for long... if you had read numerous transcripts you would have been able to answer questions professionally like a graduate student.... please load chapter 13 and 12...read.. make screenshots..and refire! 2 Likes |

Good day my people, am new to this page. Please I have some questions: 1. Is it compulsory I write gre or toefl as I intend applying to a university that doesn't require either. 2. What is the timeframe of getting the US Visa and how much is their fees. Thanks |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by fairheart(m): 7:14pm On Jan 04, 2019 |
First, I congratulates you. And as you have said, your B1/B2 certainly gave you an edge. That being said, it is not true that the consular/embassy decides "before interview" who to give the visa or who to deny simply because of the DS-160. That is not how it works. If that is the case, almost everyone here would have gotten their F1 approved, because I know so many students who filled a perfect ds-160 and even had travel history to other countries (in fact including the US (A student who has been to the US reached out to me after her F1 visa was denied and after assessing her thoroughly, I found she did not really prepare and her confidence level was low) who still got denied because of poor response to VO questions during the interview. However, it is true that every student here should pay attention to the information inserted in the dsform. I have said it time and again that, the DSFORM is the second window through which the consular assess a student (next to what you say during the interview). I wish you a successful study experience! I'm not saying praying is bad but sometimes certain things require actions, not everytime praying especially for them to remember one's application is still on AP. What if I kept praying and waiting and I didn't take action? My thoughts sha 2 Likes |
