My Nigerian passport expires September 2019 and I cannot renew it until its 6 months to expiration. Can I still apply for my UK spouse Visa in February 2019? Or do I need to renew my passport first? |

Welldone every one, please if someone says OUTSIDE MANCHESTER, SUCH AS LONDON, GLASGOW, SCOTLAND AND WALES, SHEFFIELD, LIVERPOOL, LEEDS,BRADFORD ETC. Does the person means cities or towns in UK and England? Just trying to find out the remaining places the person meant. Based on my research on Google. Here is what i got. Cities in UK https://simple.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_in_the_United_Kingdom And Cities and towns in England https://simple.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_and_towns_in_England Which means the cities in UK and cities and towns in England are the other places. Am I right? |

Hello house, please I need help. I am a student here in UK with teir 4 visa, I am here with my husband and we are expecting another baby soon. We want to apply for a visitor visa for my mum so she can come help out when I put to bed. My husband who is on tier 4 dependant visa will be sponsoring her, but our concern is if we need to also present her statement of account? My mum does not work, she was a petty trader before she finally stopped working. We are the one funding the trip 100%. Do we still need to build her account for the visa purpose? Please any info on this will be of great help to us. Thanks. |

Hello all. I want to apply for a UK visiting visa with a sole signatory corporate account with 10m deposit. I don't have anyone to send invitation letter but intends to stay in a hotel. What are the necessary documents that I need to submit. . |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Nobody: 4:53pm On Jan 08, 2019 |
I just came across a thread where someone mentioned cash/money lodgment as grounds for visa refusal. Thing is, my tier 2 dependent Visa was refused late last year because we didn't present a satisfactory maintenance letter to cover for my family (I am the dependent), we resorted to using a bank statement to support my next application. Now, because my partner won't be applying with us (+child), we decided to use my own personal account which has my name in full as seen on my passport (we didn't use my other account which is more active because it has just my first and last name). After reading about cash lodgment now, I am a little afraid that the ECO will likely have issues with the fact that the account didn't always have funds in it, just a few thousands here and there (prior to the commencement of the 90days). We paid in the the total sum of the required maintenance cost for my child and I (plus a little extra to allow for fluctuating exchange rate), and are just waiting for the total of 90 days to be up before we reapply. I just need to know if the cash lodgment will be a problem, so we don't go wasting money and time again and find another alternative. Kindly advice. Many thanks. Cc @justwise |

was maintenance ticked on COS of main applicant? Naiobi: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Nobody: 5:20pm On Jan 08, 2019 |
@mamagiovanni yes, it was ticked for the main applicant for our first application (we'd been told that would cover for all). However, when the decisions on our applications came, mine and my child's were refused, but my partner was granted. So, we'll be applying alone and plan to do so in a couple of weeks. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by MamaGiovanni: 5:36pm On Jan 08, 2019 |
Wow. I'm shocked that your visa was denied even when maintenance was ticked on COS. Because it usually states 'maintenance for applicant and any dependents if applicable'. Regarding the issue of money logdement in account, why don't you print out your bank statement in such a way that the opening statement starts from when the adequate money required reflected in the account. A few days or weeks of patience will go a long way. Naiobi: 2 Likes |

Hello Adumii and everyone else. I just discovered this thread and I would really like some advice. I am currently filling out the marriage visitor visa application form as I plan to visit the UK in order to get married to my fiance at the registry. I would then return to Nigeria immediately afterwards. We plan on settling in the UK later on at which point I know I would then have to apply for the spousal visa. I would like any advice anyone can give to help ensure this application is successful. I would also like to know if anyone on here has personally filled/submitted the same form (Marriage Visitor Visa). If anyone has can you please tell me if it was successful and a comprehensive list of the process and most especially of the documents you had to submit. I would be really really grateful if someone (or more) reaches out with some helpful information as I need to submit the form very very soon. Thanking you in advance. Adumii: |

Many thanks @mamagiovanni I had thought the same, but got a little confused with the thread I read earlier. I then assumed that the statement would need to date back as far as 6 months prior to the application. To clarify, the COS was just messed up as the affirmation for maintenance only came in the Sponsors Note section, which stated "maintenance has been ticked for this migrant'. However, in main section where Y/N had to be ticked (which should have covered for us all) N was ticked. We informed them before we sent in our applications, and were told it would cover for all, an if it was just for the main applicant, it would have said 'migrant only'. It was all just messed up. Just want to get it all right this time. |
