Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque)
Also known as the Sultan Ahmet Camii (or Sultan Ahmed Mosque), this breath-taking building is one of the most majestic Ottoman mosques in all of Turkey.

Blue Mosque History
The Blue Mosque was built between 1609 and 1616, by the architect Mehmet Ağa, instructed by Sultan Ahmet I. It was designed as an imperial show of strength to complement the imposing Hagia Sophia, which faces it across Sultanahmet Square. Unlike the Hagia Sophia, however it is supported by four 'elephant foot' pillars, and the central dome (23.5m in diameter and 43m high) is flanked by four semi-domes, making it nearly a square in shape. It is dubbed the Blue Mosque because of over 20,000 handmade ceramic Iznik tiles that decorate the interior, featuring many different tulip, rose, carnation, and lily designs, well lit by 260 windows.

If you have a valid USA or shengen visa just fill the online application and make the payment online, you'll get your visa
on arrival, that's what I used.

What are the necessary documents for applying for a tourist visa if the US citizen is sponsoring the trip and will accomodate the Nigerian tourist during the visit duration of three weeks.

I Have been here and there lately and I have some nice pictures from Antakya in Turkey, Manchester in the UK, Bonn Germany, Abuja and New York.
I only arrived Iraq this month and it's actually nicer that I envisage.
will be here ti the end of the year and I entend exploring the region as much as I can. I am currently in the Kurdish autonomous region which is and was free free from ISIS during the war.
Erbil is really fasinating in just a week that I have spent here I have seen more guns that I had even seen in my entire existence.
I saw someone walking a cub in the ground floor of my apartment.
I met a cool Nigerian couple who had been living here for 5 years randomly on the street during my first week.
it's extremely hot here 40 degrees averagely since I arrived and I had it went as high as 50 few weeks back, will fall to as low as -2 by November and some snows in the mountains and high altitude.
Both the Iraq diner and USD are acceptable to buy things here if you pay in USD you will get your change in Iraq dinar.
if you are might mistake some places in Erbil for new York (skyscrapers apartments).

Went to downtown Erbil, I visited the citadel but I wasn't really impressed compared to the citadel in Jordan, there is a big Bazaar opposite the citadel which is now converted to market, the market is huge I spend 2 hours just walking around feeding my eyes.


The Erbil Citadel, also known as the Hawler Castle, is UNESCO-designated world heritage site in Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan.

History of the Erbil Citadel
The Erbil Citadel dates back thousands of years, to the first settlers of Erbil. Over the millenia, the Erbil Citadel has taken shape, each generation building new structures on top of those of the previous generation. The resulting shape is a large, oval hill, and is referred properly to as a “tell” which means a large mound created by many generations building on top of one another.

Early on, houses and structures on the Erbil Citadel were constructed with mud bricks, which crumbled and collapsed easily in the sun and rain. The rebuilding of these mud brick structures on top of one another, over thousands of years, has resulted in the citadel rising over 100 feet from the ground level.

Erbil Citadel: A Home for All
Many religions, ethnicities, empires and people have inhabited Erbil since the earliest evidence of settlement, dating back to 5000 BC. The Erbil Citadel passed through Sumerian, Assyrian, Sassanid, Mongol, Christian and Ottoman hands.

During its long history, the Erbil Citadel has been home to mosques, churches, synagogues, schools and homes. In the most recent census (1995), the Erbil Citadel was home to 1,631 people, inhabiting 247 homes.

Got back to Iraq after 5 whole months in Germany, currently in isolation for the next 12 days, I'm negative though I did a mandatory test before leaving Germany.
Erbil the capital of Kurdish region of iraq is designed in an encentric way or rings and this rings are roads called circles. first circle is the centre of the town where you have the parliament and the citadel , the circles goes all the way to the 5th circle , the fifth circle is the outskirts of the town or desert area, It really interesting I did a bit of urban planning during my bachelors and I can remember some of the centric urban theories where development reduces the more you go outside if the centre , also interesting to see how the Affluence are concentrate In the 3rd and 4th circle a bit away from the CBD.

Second picture are American /joint force Fighter chopper (reminds me of SIx movie series). Doesn't look like the US will be leaving soon, there has been I reader attack in the south since Trump said he is pulling out.
Hopefully I will be able so add more pictures before I end my self quarantine
