uzmu:for u to say you've made research about the school now show that you didn't Know anything about the school before u applied to it . secondly your answer to how you found the school seems complicated, for you to say that your lecturer knows a friend whose friend left to the school. you didn't sound genuine, it would have been better if u said that your lecturer had his degree from this University and has also told you lot of good things about their academic excellent, u now do more research about the through which u found out that the school is good academically that would have been better. moreover u tried to talk about the computer science and the award that the school has won but u you've spoilt everything at the beginning.. thirdly you shouldn't have apply when u knew that nothing has changed in your transcript.. kindly differ to fall and research more about the school, also construct you own transcript. I can detect that you're using an agent but that's not the matter .. work on your answer especially about the school, how you found, and most importantly the course because that's also a big deal .. 1 Like 1 Share |

uzmu: My broda $25k no be beans ooooo Honestly, you shouldnt have said you have made more research. You should have talked about confidence, any scholarship you have if you have any,do you have a research interest you didn't mention in your previous interview that excited you more now .... What have you learnt about the school now is the same as asking ...those new things you have learnt how will they help you achieve your career goals? How will the best data science award help you?Are they currently doing a breakthrough research in a related interest that follows closely with your course?Forget the block system of learning & concious based education...them no follow. 2 Likes |

Whats the best possible way to answer such question i see u previously applied and what has changed? I guess she feels it was too early to reapply and for how i got to know the school , that was the genuine truth i told her. As for using agent, its a capital NO. I did my application myself. I will àppreciate if i can pm u or if i can call u so i ll get some glue.thanks in anticipation |

Middy25:The VO is right. You applied for the wrong visa category for your stated purpose. Yes you can apply again and state that you want to be with your spouse. However, you should find a better way to describe the role you will be playing in supporting him towards the successful conclusion of his studies rather than saying you will be helping him out with daily stuffs. You should also be able to show enough funds to support both of you for at least a year. Please post your full transcript. 1 Like |

Olalekank: Good points. Fellow CS guy here. Do you think it's reasonable to work my admission for masters in computer science toward fall 2019 even though I am preparing to take GRE in March. I hope to get funding |

Time2Smile: Thank you so much for responding, but please can you suggest a better way I can put it? Here is my transcript: Vo: Good morning Me: Good morning Vo: passport and i20 (I gave her) Vo: purpose of visit? Me: I want to spend my leave period with my husband Vo: Why not B2 visa instead since you are going on a vacation Me: Because I believe F2 will give me a chance of multiple entry. I can be able to travel to attend his graduation I don't even understand what she said after this Vo: Why didn't he come visit last summer Me: I said because he was coming home for a job interview last year and he had to plan his visit around that time, and he came in September. Vo: What do you do Me: teacher Vo: do you live alone? Me: yes, in my husband's house Vo: sorry....... Gave me my passport No other documents was asked. Oh, another thing. I used a scanned copy of my i20 because my husband had to make a recent update about his GA, so the original didn't get to me on time, she frowned at this, asked why and I told her about the update. The update was made five days to my appointment( Saturday and Sunday inclusive) Pls guys, I need your constructive criticism and advice on what I can do next. I am feeling so miserable. Thank you so much. |

1stdami:Great one! First off, I'd see it is a bit late to gun for fall '19 if you're particular about funding. Writing the GRE in March makes it even harder. If you're not rushing, you could wait till fall '20 or still give fall '19 a shot which I'd likely not recommend. I'd also like to state that you give ample time for your GRE preparation to get an higher score and put you in a better position of securing funding. @cuteredd, @bikeman, what re your thoughts? BTW, I went to your personal site and man, you're a boss! 3 Likes |

Middy25: If you still plan on applying for F2, you might want to give a more definite reason why you would be staying with your husband and how you have made arrangement for that with work since it would mean you will be leaving work for a while. I am not sure this would fly but if you have a professional certification you intend to write and can get an ample time of leave of absence from work to do it, you could claim you want to be around him to give him all the emotional support he needs while you use that time to prepare for xyz exam that will boost you career. You could state how you have gotten a leave of absence for personal development for the time being. Otherwise, you may put it in the light of you leaving your job to stay with your husband and how you also intend utilizing the time to improve yourself through xyz certification you can study for by yourself to aid your getting back into the industry upon return. Overall, I think your level of composure and how you pass your message across is also key. As such, try to be as composed as you can, knowing your reasons for your application such that you can be very articulate when responding to questions. Take it as a normal interview process and have your story in your head to aid your responses and help keep you in check. 2 Likes |

1stdami: Most application deadlines are fast approaching nonetheless, I would suggest you find schools you might meet up with their deadline and try engage the graduate director for your program. You might be able to get a waiver to turn in your GRE score a little later than the deadline. Remember to let him know there are a very few centres in Nigeria as such, it takes a while to get a slot. |

Middy25: A B2 visa would also give you multiple entry chances too In my opinion I think you should give some time before applying again so your vacation would have passed and you can then say you want to go and spend quality time with your spouse. Visa interview is about eliminating any benefit of doubt. If you rush to apply again, it would seem as if you lied to a VO about even having a vacation and they might not give you the time to clear the doubt you've created in their mind. Trust me, you don't want to be taken unaware with a comment like "2 weeks ago you were here and you told my colleague that you wanted to just spend your vacation with your spouse, now you saying you want to stay with your spouse for the entire duration of his studies". This could be misinterpreted to mean your are insincere with your intentions. All in all, work on possible replies incase they bring up questions about your vacation and hope for the best. Visa interview is subjective and these VOs have different abilities and reason differently, so what might sell for VO x might not sell for VO y. This is my own opinion. 1 Like |
