The only reason why I think you want to restart B.Sc might be because you didn't have the required GPA for master's program. If you have the required GPA, apply for masters instead.

But if your GPA is low. You can do PGD instead of doing another B.Sc. Goodluck in your search.

Ok... so I need someone to advice me .. and in details (please).. I'm still an undergraduate in Nigeria cos of the strike in my finals tho.. when I'm done I'm planning on getting my *Masters or restarting school itself in canada.. what are my chances?
I have an uncle there.. would it be possible to get visa to stay with him there while I school there?.. and what are the regular deadlines for admissions and scholarships...
Last question.. do I need to complete my nysc first before trying to migrate?

Someone please patiently and kindly help me with my questions

Hello guys, Sorry it's been awhile. Life in canada especially as a student keeps one on his toes and busy. The winter even makes things worse. Greetings to everyone who has kept this thread alive!
For those of you coming during the winter, prepare, the cold is mad!!

Thanks very much for this...I really appreciate.

We have recorded a great deal of applicants who used their relatives abroad and their applications were successful. Hence, you shouldn't get worked up over it so long as you've sufficient ties to your home country that can compel your return back home after studies. Significant ties can include close family members who live in your home country that are not accompanying you, aged parents who are depending on you for support and care, current employment as well as good prospects for future employment in your country, your spouse and kids, ownership of an active business, and ownership of property or other assets in your home country. Lastly, provide documents to demonstrate strong proof of relationship between you and your cousin (birth certificates, family tree, intl passport bio data page etc..)

Hello everyone!
I am currently a graduate student in Germany and I will be in Edmonton for 5 months as a graduate research visitor. Anyone here studying at the University of Alberta?
Kindly indicate or send a PM. Thanks.
Please, if you don’t mind me asking. As a graduate researcher going to Canada for 5months, I believe you will need a work permit, right? As related to (Practical training or internship)? As a Nigerian, under which application option/program are you applying for the work permit?

Thanks for your response

Yes! It's very possible for you to change a DLI to another prior to traveling to Canada provided that you've secured an admission letter for the proposed DLI you're transferring to. At the point of entry, you are ought to present the new acceptance letter to the immigration officer before a study permit and SIN will be issued to you.

Follow these steps to change your school:
1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click Transfer from DLI number under the section Designated Learning Institution Student Transfer.
3. Enter your study permit application number and click Search for my application.
4. Enter more details about your original study permit application, if required. This information will help us identify your application.
5. Enter your new DLI number, your new Student ID number, and your start date at your new school. Click Submit transfer.
6. Review the details of your transfer. If all the information is correct, click Confirm Transfer
7. Read the confirmation that your request is complete. This confirms that you’ve notified us that you’ve changed post-secondary schools. Click Go to main account page to return to your account. You are good to go and can now sign out. cool

I hope this answers your question.

Best of luck

From the wisdom of my experiences, the correlation of both programs doesn't matter. What matters most is having an admission letter in any of the Canada's DLI.

An applicant I know for some time past on this reputable thread did use a loan from prodigy finance and his application was approved. I can also remember brilliantly that he included his personal savings account to evidence his personal financial establishment.

I won't be able to give a promise I wouldn't fulfil. At this point, I am occupied with lots of works. I sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this might cause you. There are other trusted and knowledgeable guys here who can assist you in revamping the LOE.

I plan on adding my business registration certificate and statement of account as well as my father's statement of account in addition to his Mutual benefit insurance bringing total funds at my disposal to about 10M in addition to the loan which covers my tuition.

That would be great and sufficient. I will advice you explain extensively in your LOE how the presented funds with your application will be spent during your first year of study in Canada and the possibility of funding for future years. By so doing, you will be able to tackle funds availability and accessibility by the applicant that might be raised by the visa officer.

Hi Guys,

Family application (study permit for myself, SOWP for wifey and TRV for my boy) on 28 Dec, upfront medical and Biometrics (on 31st).

Approval on Jan 22 for myself. Waiting for madam and my boy's approvals.

Question is, does it mean that until the primary applicant gets his passport stamped before other applications get approved or what?

Hello Nitrogen,
Congratulation on your approval.
Please what documents did your wife submitted for the SOWP?

Thank you.

The real essence of doing this is to tackle funds availability and accessibility by the applicant which might be raised by the visa officer.

It's a one year professional programme at Queen's university.
Can I write something along the lines of "15000CAD will be used solely to support me during my program. 10,000 CAD to cover living expenses for the duration of my study, 2,000 for my flight to Canada and about 3,000CAD for miscellaneous exprnses" ?
would that be considered vague?
