A Kenyan opposition leader, Raila Odinga is trending online after telling a story of Nigerian Minister's corruption.

Odinga was speaking at an event when he told the story about a Nigerian Minister for Works and a Malaysian Minister.

He said; "A Nigerian Minister for works went on a tour to Malaysia and was hosted by his Malaysian counterpart. At Dinner, the Nigerian minister marvelled at the beauty of the Malaysian Minister's house and asked 'how did you do it ?', The Malaysian Minister replied, "go to the balcony and look yonder, What do you see?" , The Nigerian Minister looked and saw a road, then the Malaysian minister replied, 'You see that highway there, 10% here".

Then 2 years later, it was the turn of the Malaysian minister to visit Nigeria, He was taken around and saw that the roads were in a poor state, with potholes. At dinner, the Nigerian minister took the Malaysian to his home. The Malaysian minister marvelled at the palatial mansion with Olympic size swimming pool and imported home utensils. He then asked his Nigerian counterpart, "How did you do it?", The Nigerian minister took him to the balcony and said 'Do you see that highway there?" The Malaysian could see nothing, the Nigerian Minister replied: "100% here"."

Sorry, truth hurts. What does the story tell us? That there is corruption in every country but that Nigeria corruption is out of this world. If a Malaysian government official is taking a cut of 10%, a kenyan official is likely taking 30-40%, but Nigerian minister would take 100% with no project delivered.

It's sounds unbelievable seeing some Nigerians defending the politicians who have sealed the country's fortune to an unfathomable depth of penury in the name of defending or expressing the love for the country.
I think this person doesn't deserve any backlash from us. His sense of humor should, instead be appreciated. After all, what he said is hundred percent true about our selfish politicians. Yes Nigeria is first in Africa in corruption no doubt in that, though most of us are blind and foolish and can not see nor believe it. Almost all of us Nigerians or in Nigeria are wickedly corrupt even the pastors and the people of the church. Everything you see is proof of our corruption, the preaching of the pastors, their lifestyle, our roads, health services and hospitals, security, education, ....
