Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN) on Sunday said President Muhammadu Buhari only suspended the former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen and has not removed him from office.
Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Sagay said if Onnoghen, who was suspended by the Federal Government following a recommendation of the Code of Conduct Tribunal was eventually cleared of all wrongdoings, he automatically assumes his position as the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
“If the Code of Conduct Tribunal at the end pronounced that he is not guilty, he goes back automatically to his position as CJN. There is no question about that” he said.

If a public official is found to have discrepancies on his asset declaration form, the CCB is meant to invite him and ask then on admittance given another form to update his assets declaration.

But in this case, they hurriedly jumped invitation by the CCB and charged the said person to the CCT even after he admitted to the error. Is that what the law says? Then they go on a media trial to paint the man bad in the eyes of the public then unleash their half wits to sing their praise and say they are fighting corruption. Sounds familiar?

Buhari has erred and MUST reverse himself.
