Good day gurus in the house. Pls! I need advice from anyone in this forum who have information about my predicament. I went for my B1B2 (Conference B1)visa interview last week wednesday in Abuja.I think I answered all the questions correctly and honestly. At the expiration of the interview the VO returned my passport and my Ds 160 and gave me a 221g administrative yellow paper, she said I 'll be contacted through mail.No documents was checked or asked for during the interview session. The next day I received a mail from the embassy with attached DS-5535 form to be filled and email back to the embassy. The attached DS 5535 form has been filled and mail back the embassy. Don't understand what this process is all about, anyone with useful information and advice is highly welcome |

yusaaj: Yellow Slip: A 221 g Yellow slipdenotes general type of administrative processing. The Consulate looks at all the documentation provided by the candidate and the employer. WhiteSlip: A 221g White slip denotes requirement for further processing by the USCIS. Form DS-5535, Supplemental Questions for Visa Applicants, standardizes the collection of additional information, including social media usage, from immigrant and nonimmigrant visa applicants "who have been determined to warrant additional scrutiny in connection with terrorism or other national security-related visa ineligibilities." If a consular officer determines that a visa applicant warrants this additional scrutiny, the applicant will be instructed to provide the following information on Form DS-5535: Travel history during the last fifteen years, including source of funding for travel;Address history during the last fifteen years;Employment history during the last fifteen years; All passport numbers and country of issuance held by the applicant;Names and dates of birth for all siblings;Name and dates of birth for all children;Names and dates of birth for all current and former spouses, or civil or domestic partners;Social media platforms and identifiers, also known as handles, used during the last five years; andPhone numbers and email addresses used during the last five years. 2 Likes |

yusaaj: I think the fact that your visa application wasn't denied on the day of your interview means everything went well just that the visa officer needed to clear all doubt he or she might be having about your documents and other info's about you. If you are sure all the documents you submitted are authentic then you are good. Lastly I can't tell how long it will take them to make a decision but be rest assured that if the visa will be granted they will make sure u get it before your intended day of travel. So the bottom line is if the conference is genuine and documents submitted are authentic have no fear and remain positive good luck |

Hello gurus, if per chance one was able to get admission with a GRE score of 278, i.e quantitative 136, verbal 136 and Writing 2.0. Is it presentable to consular for visa interview. Please, kindly advise |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Olalekank(m): 6:26pm On Jan 28, 2019 |
yemyem4uall:Please do not take this with you. Simply means you probably wrote the GRE for the fun of it. Minimum is 130 in each section meaning the total score was like 3/20 + 3/20 in each section. (Max 10/40 due to the adaptive testing. I'd advice to rewrite. Besides, I wonder what school would give admission with such a low score... 7 Likes |
