Realistically, the NJC would remove both to appear impartial. The person who would benefit in all this is the next Justice after Tanko. 2 Likes |

Buhari is a master strategist Can't believe a lifeless man can keep wailers on their toes for weeks now. Be acting like he is directionless but knows exactly his destination. Give it to Buhari, he is a lifeless disciplinarian The Putin of Africa! Less talks, Much action! 2 Likes |

I must confess that NJC is trying to play safe if not, the main thing to consider Should be whether President Buhari has the constitutional power to suspend the CJN or not. From there, they should file for reinstatement of the suspended CJN immediately before any other thing follows. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

This action may just restore sanity to the chaos created by Buhari's cabal in their desperate attempt to retain power at all cost. |

hucienda: The law dosent work that way.In law, there are no sentiments. In sacking them the NJC will have to adduce reasons for that action. What will be the legal basis for sacking Onnogen? whatever happens one thing is however certain. The judiciary will remain independent.Careeers will be destroyed and lessons will have been learnt. One thing I don't however undertand is how Justice Tanko will agree to put his career on the line to execute this shameful plot.He was due to be CJN next year and will have remained in office until 2023.Justices Rhodes and Odili were never supposed to become CJNs as they were supposed to retire before. What will make a man throw away an illustrious career and a chance at the highest position in his professional career? I truly hope the pay was worth it 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Itzurboi: lol Hoiw can itbe a win if the APC are unable to take over the judiciary? You think the APC government just wanted to remove Justice Onnogen as CJN? They wanted to pocket the judiciary by planting a stooge. It is not just about Onnoggen. It is about the independence of the judiciary 2 Likes 1 Share |
