Dec last year, late 20's. I Requested a ride on a Sunday morning from Ikoyi to MM2. We arrived the airport, I was already sort of late to board so I just picked my luggage and rushed in without confirming the fare and/or if the driver has ended the trip.

After all the check in formalities, a quick meal and waiting to board, I checked taxify and lo and behold, trip was still ongoing. shocked it was a card trip so first, I quickly blacklisted the card , then waited for the bill. Days later, on arriving to my destination, I got a mail that i should fund my card or add another payment option for my ride with a whooping bill of 12,300 cheesy

I no bother to reply them sef. I'm just curious now, will the driver be paid by taxify? I earlier thought of going to taxify office when i return to the country to officially complain but on second thoughts, I changed my mind .

Explaining fully will be too long, since its not the purpose of the thread. But an attempt at summary:

Thermostat ensures an engine reaches optimum operating temperature as soon as possible, irrespective of the ambient temperature. At this optimum temperature, lubrication is at its best.

Engines are not built to run cold, this is the reason why your ECU is programmed to ensure there is high rev of the engine on cold start in the morning. As the temperature increases, the rev comes down.

A cold engine will cause bore wash in the block, not to talk of eventual catalytic converter damage. Yanking thermostats is one of the reasons you hardly find 10 year old engines in good conditions in Nigeria.

For further details, please check online.

When the boss explains things you must stand at attention.

Driver got paid, but once you make a report to Taxify. Taxify knows how to get their money back from driver's next payout.

Note: if you do not report the trip. Taxify will find a way to get their money back. Probably when you add your card for a new trip. Or by placing a pending order on your card till its funded.

Nay, you can't place any pending debit after a card has been blacklisted and deactivated.

Their headache by and large . I was only curious , hoping the crooked driver won't get paid.

You can create another profile using another line if you feel you need to continue with taxify.

Go and pay your bills Ma'am. I wonder how same drivers will be advising you on how to boycott payment of services rendered to you.

If you feel that the fare price is too high, request for trip review and pay the estimated amount.

This is not right? Then they should provide facilities to protect the drivers from dangerous riders that can get a new profile to commit crimes.
