I don't know why our govt is not working as hard in tourism sector. Ethiopia is diverse as you can see, as we have Danakil, we also have the Semein Mountains. One of the reason why ET is not getting enough tourist is because of security purpose. I don't really feel safe myself travelling to Danakil depression. Afar is scary as I have been told.

The place is an ocean bed, used to be an extension of the red sea. There are lots of bandits in Danakil you may get attacked from what I saw in a certain video.

Its all about marketing in tourism. Abi should come up with a tour marketing strategy and tackle the insecurity. Maybe you can learn from our experience. Kenya's north receives a good number of tourists despite being similar to Ethiopia in many ways.

The other reason is that, we all know Europeans and Americans think Africa is hell. But Ethiopia is more than that for them. They think we live in desert and they think all of us are starved. They will come for charity rather than a visiting.

I love Mali songs. I hear Nterni all the time because it have a true African vibe. It is not spoiled. Ethiopian and Mali music are very similar. I think both of us better work together. The director of Nterni is an Ethiopian. Nterni has nothing bad to pick. It is perfect. Her voice, the background of the video, the beat, the composition!!!
Many Mali people hear Ethiopian songs but I don't think many Ethiopians do except our artists.


Yes there are bandits in Danakil. My father's friend son got killed there. Bandits caught him and forced him and his brother to give money. They tried to escape driving but they shot him and he passed away. By the way Afar people are feared by all Ethiopians. They carry a big knife where ever they go. . .no one even dares to talk to them.



Actually Kenya is the 4th country for having the biggest number of tourist in Ethiopia. Ethiopians also love visiting Kenya especially mombasa. I have many relatives who have been there and they were jealous. They really admired your government for taking tourism seriously. They felt sad that there are many destinations in Ethiopia but our govt is not looking out for them. Lalibela is kind of collapsing. The priests are saying it shakes some times. Ethiopia is required a huge amount of money to keep it safe. Abiy is asking for the money for many European government B eacause it is world heritage. But what was our govt doing until it shake?!!!!

Lake Tana is in danger and wild life in Ethiopia is not being given attention. Ethiopia don't only have tangible heritage but also intangible. Recently, we had the tinker celebration. It was beautiful! I'll try to share you some pics

This is not fair! I mean almost all Africans has a bad record on IQ test and I've always wondered why. They say IQ test is dependent on the amount of food the exam receiver eats. They kinda let us beleive that Africa is doing bad on the test because of hunger. What type is this? ? ?

This is epiphany in Addis Ababa 2019. Epiphany is a holiday but also being a festival in Ethiopia. Ladies wear traditional clothes and sing. People come out and celebrate it on street. Christians (Orthodoxes) get holy water. It is celebrated in public
