I'm not sure if they really mean notarize.
I think what they want is that you authenticate it and my understanding is that it's only done in Abuja - Foreign Affairs Ministry.

This can be done at any high court
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Juwohn: 12:06pm On Feb 07, 2019
Notorization, Yes.

That's why I'm saying I doubt the high commission wants a notarized copy for marriage certificates. Now they are asking for an authenticated copy from foreign affiars ministry. Their is an office in Lagos but the office also redirects to Abuja. OP should clarify what high commission really wants to avoid forth and backs.

...and I think they want a notarized copy not older than 3months.

rockachic:
Can I use the documents that was notarized in 2015? Part of SA visa requirements is that I notarize my marriage certificate and my child’s birth certificate. I had both documents notarized in 2015 when I applied for Canada visa. Can I still use the same documents? The date on it is 2015

Please, is the yellow fever card a compulsory requirement for a study visa?
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Viquetohr: 8:43pm On Feb 07, 2019
Please Sir, is there a way you or your wife can help with some advice concerning the study visa requirements? Though I have the listed requirements but talking to you or her on the phone will suffice more. Can you pls drop your contact? Please don't hesitate, thanks.

I also have a friend that applied since 7th of January in portharcourt but hasn't heard from them. They keep saying documents received and under assessment in Lagos. I think it's taking too long for a short stay tourist visa.

Please house I need someone who can give me a link to anyone flying to lag from Sa this weekend or next week

I need to get an important document from Sa ASAP (south African police clearance certificate to be precise) and DhL is too expensive an option.

Suggestions of cheaper courier service is also welcomed.

Thanks in advance

Yes, it is, you should get it once you kick start your visa application processes. Otherwise, you won't be allowed to enter Sa
