Ahead of next Saturday ’ s elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission has created additional 57, 023 voting points to address the large number of voters which now stands at 84 million .

Information obtained by The PUNCH showed that the voting points would be carved out of the existing 119 , 973 polling units nationwide .

This comes barely a month after the Chairman of INEC , Prof. Mahmood Yakubu , said more voting units would not be created.

Yakubu had said last month , “ On polling units, the commission wishes to assure the media that there is no change in the number of polling units and voting points used for the 2015 general elections and the 2016 Area Council elections in the FCT.

“ Any insinuation that new polling units, voting points or voting points are being created by the commission is utterly baseless and should be disregarded . ”

However , it was learnt that following a high - powered meeting by INEC national commissioners and other relevant stakeholders, it was decided that 57, 023 new voting points had to be created .

It was learnt that the move had become necessary because the number of registered voters had risen by 15 million since 2015 and as thus the old arrangement was not feasible .

The additional voting points would also ensure that voting is done in record time in order to allow for quick collation of results which will be expected to take longer due to the high number of political parties which has since risen to 91 .

The 2015 Presidential election had 14 candidates but 2019 has a record 72 .
The PUNCH had reported that the collation and announcement of results which would require the announcement of each political party one after the other , might take as long as five days and INEC was doing everything possible to ease the process ...

As strange as this may sound, in 1913 my grand father was farming when a saucer shaped object appeared in the sky and beamed a bright light towards him, he became blind instantly and before he knew what was happening he was levitating. While inside this unidentified flying object, his blood was drawn, semen collected and he could hear strange voices in a foreign language he has never heard before. Afterwards, he was thrown out of the flying object with a cubic shaped metallic device. He started screaming out loud in the middle of the night and when help arrived, eye witnesses recounted that he was glowing green from head to toe, in fact they were afraid to touch him, but eventually the villagers escorted him to his house since he couldn't see. My grand father doesn't remember everything that happened to him inside that flying object, it appears as though he was inflicted with selective amnesia. People even thought he was making up stories but everyone who made contact with my grand father died within 3 months with no known cause of death.

The cubic shaped metallic device has been passed on in the family, 3 generations later and nobody knew what it was. Being the curious George I'm, I decided to have someone figure out what the object was and my quest resulted in me shipping out the item from Nigeria to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC for analysis, I spent my life savings on it. Long story short, it turned out that the item is 75% Yttrium, 15% Platinum and 10% Rhodium. They concluded that it is composed mostly of non-earth metals so therefore it must have come from outter space. They were shocked and surprised as to the origin of this device, I was even contacted by NASA and the CIA. They wanted to confiscate this object to further study it and I refused, the even offered me blood money kinda compensation but I refused.

Long story short, In 2016 I was cleaning the device and I don't know what happened or how it happened but I teleported into the future by something that looked like a wormhole. I was able to see Donald Trump being declared the president Elect of the U.S and once I returned to myself, I thought I just had a bad dream but it turned out that I had travelled 2 months into the future. Then march 2018, I tried to replicate the same sequence of events and again, I was teleported into a football stadium in Brazil and there I witnessed France lifting the world cup. I couldn't believe my eyes, but then when France won the world cup months later, it was exactly as I saw it. It finally dawned on me that I was in possession of a time machine. Ever since then this device has predicted 9 events with 100% accuracy.

Just this night I time travelled Into the future and it turns out that Buhari was declared the president for a 2nd term, my time travel machine hasn't failed me yet and I doubt it will fail me now.

Nice on from INEC this will curtail delay at some polling units and also bring nearness to voting in remote areas.
