Frankrobbn1:

@Bracha, As long as we are human, we are bound to make mistakes. What distinguishes a forward-looking person from an intransigent one, a virtuous person from a dishonest one, however, is whether one can candidly admit to one’s mistakes and take bold steps to redress them, which I believe he @042viber12 did. Thus, let's face what brought us here and be contented subjects of our kind.

@042viber12, you've always being of great support to this platform and have taken your time to respond to some many queries in here. I admire your sincere desire in assisting the new bies, not minding that your application is still pending response from IRCC. Keep it up bro. Continue with the good works and never relent. I hope to see more of your contributions on this window.

Cheers!

Hi @Frankrobbn1 nowhere in my question did I state one cannot make mistakes, so please don't put words in my mouth. On this forum, everyone contributing is doing so based on deductions from data (application timelines posted/gcms note posted/personal experience etc.) collected from here or elsewhere: no one here is a VO, so when one posts something that doesn't ring true, questioning it is crucial - it's part of the learning process we're all here for. If he makes a statement and i'm unclear about it, I have a right to ask a question for clarity sake. Allow me ask my question without attempting to shut me up.

And the highlighted phrase, what does that even mean?

PS: 042viber12 you really are doing a good job, well done. Thanks for the clarification. Cheers bro.

Please, anyone in the house with the latest information on places to do medicals? Between Abuja and Lagos, which is cheaper and what does one need to take along. Informed response will be greatly appreciated. Merci!

Hi,

I don't know anything about Abuja. I do know IOM Lagos charges like 41,000+ while Q-Life charges 28,000. Someone who knows about Abuja will reply you.

I hope this helps.

Bro, in as much u are doing a good Job answering peeps questions here, I will advise you get the authenticity of ur information before putting it up here, so you wont mislead many peeps here.. There is no where on CIC website where a particular amount is needed for an applicant or the sponsor to have. Peace
042viber12:

Impressed how far u have gone, but I have some pointers to make...your SOA whixh is 1.7mil...if u ask me...it's not enough, u might be turned down on grounds of not having enough funds..in CIC standards, your own SOA should have a balance of 5mil while your sponsor should have at least 1 5mil..the idea is they want to see that u have enough money to take care of your self even if the sponsors money isn't available...On your SOP u need to explain how the sponsor relates to you, why is he is sponsoring you...age is not a barrier if u wanna seek education in canada..som1 older than has gotten his visa and already in class...so don't worry..On your SOP, u need to explain why u wanna do that cos, they need to see a career progression cos the VO will be wondering why a sales person is going for this course..u also need to explain the goals and employment possibilities in your home country...that way u handle the issue of the VO thinking u want come back after studies...

We have peeps that have applied since MAY 2018 (9 months) without any Response.. Well, to my observation on the final decisions of like 5 peeps (That I knw of on this thread) that have waited so long, 4 of them have gotten positive response, while 1 got a refusal. So I wont be too wrong to conclude that most of us waiting for so long will definitely get our Visas.. So if u are in the category of peeps that wanna withdraw ur application cos its taking too long, I will advise you all to have a re-think cos u may be withdrawing ur Visa Approval. It shall end in praise las las..

Good morning house,

Please I want to find out this:
I submitted my application 18 Jan 3019
But My sponsor’s tax clearance certificate that I submitted have expired 31 Dec 2018

But have gotten the 2018 tax clearance certificate now

Should I send CIC email with the updated tax clearance?
If yes, please I need the email address and based on the biometric correspondence letter that I got, it's Nairobi that's working on my application

Thx

Hello guys.. Im currently running my HND in mechanical engineering hopefully to finish around September.. and would love to do msc in canada.. what are the necessary steps to be taken.. Just to be documented and work toward it

Thanks

Or should i just do my PGD over here first?

If u ask me, Finish school, do your nysc den at the 2nd half of your nysc...u can ask your questions...Wat u come out with in your HND determines if it's a pgd or masters u will be going for

Goodafternoon house please i need clarification on this.... There is no update on my application... I can only see that they jes put the date of biometric enrollment and its expiry date.. Even in the column where they have biometrics, the current status still says we do not need your fingerprints.. We will send you a message if this changes.. So I'm wondering when that status will change.. And I did my biometrics on tuesday febuary 5th

Maestro001:

Thanks for your pointers;actually my SOA is 1.7mil like I said before but sponsors SOA read a little over 5-8mil;with these 2 SOA’s do you think is enough to deal with the issue of insufficient funds or do you think the sponsor should transfer some funds into my account to make it balanced a little?
Also,on my SOP I wrote that my sponsor is a family friend and a good friend of my late parents and he’s sponsoring me on the grounds that my late dad sponsored him during his university days and so he decided to return the favor by doing the same with me ;I hope this is convincing enough?

Lastly, the career progression was well explained as per why I chose that course as well as the employment opportunities that will compel me to return to my home country.

I will be glad if you can let me know if my documents are complete or is there any document I’m missing out,

I will be applying through paper route.(Any pointer on this)

On the SOA, honestly no1 can say how much is needed on your SOA, all I can say is let the money be enough to cover your 1yr in canada that's after tuition deposit..on the SOP, I like the reason u gave but is there any home ties ie wat will bring u back to Nigeria after studies not just employment prospects..cos u need that too..if in the career progression, u explained convincingly, it's okay...

The choice is yours if u want to do paper or online route..i did online back in July cos I wasn't in the mood to be stuck in line at VAC and also I wanted to have a clear view of how my application was progressing..either way, paper or online, none is a sure visa approval but rather wat u have applied with in either routes

You are likely to be refused because it does not show any progress, how do you move from degree down to Diploma?

I disagree with you on that note;because I have a friend who got approved with a BSC and he went for a diploma in Welding;he studied physics.
So what do you have to say about that ?

mysticken:
I applied January 21 did my biometric on January 24, I applied for 1 year apprenticeship program on welding
Documents I submitted
ND certificate on computer science, Scaffolding certificate, Safety certificate on scaffolding, dad bank statement with 9m, letter from dad company, my marriage certificate, son birth certificate, letter of explanation, letter from my brother living in Canada stating that he will house me through out my stay
I got denied today feb 07... Please I need help I already make payment of 1795 CAD

1.If I may ask;did you write your SOP??
2.Where did you put your letter of acceptance from the school?
3.No letter of sponsorship from anyone regarding your studies (I hope you ain’t thinking of the letter your brother wrote)?
4.You showed no reason to return, because it should have been in your SOP which I think you didn’t write(not sure though)
5.You didn’t show proof of relationship in form of sworn affidavits

Those are my thoughts anyways;the gurus can talk more on this
