Jones has never actually been a regular starter. In-fact, if not for the recent dip in form of Bailly and the fact that Lindelof wasn't a hit as soon as he came in, i am sure Jones would have been coming from the bench. Observe that his contract was not exactly improved, just extended. So perhaps he is being kept to be a squad player.

I actually expect the club to sign a CB in the summer Transfer window, but then one can't be sure of anything. I usually take transfer rumors with pinch of salt and i never fully believe the club is getting a player until the player is officially unveiled by the club. So in truth, i don't know what to expect in terms of signings, but i believe that a CB will be gotten. Rojo, Darmian, even Smalling may be sold.
