bro how can you drive or even own a car and can't afford to buy jack/wheel spanner or even repair ur brake light? No good car documents and license,. I just dey laugh here lol,. Me get every car accessories you can think of , even OBD scanner and extinguisher, double extra tires and a carton of synthetic oil,. Care for your car and your safety plz
How about adding the following to the list; an extra catalytic converter, 2 knock sensors, 2 Lambda (oxygen) sensors, 4 extra dampers, 4 extra linkages, two extra car remotes, 3 industrial strength fire extinguishers, an Extra cabin filter, an extra Ac compressor, two extra window switches, Snow chains (in the unlikely event that it snows) and winter tires , an LPG tank, A retrofitted Tesla Auto pilot system (complete with all the cams and sensors) in case u sleep behind the wheels, a 500km range lithium battery to take charge of propulsion in the event of fuel scarcity, Solar panels on the roof to trickle charge the add-on batteries and finally... B6 level polycarbonate windows (which could comfortably stand grenades and Armour piercing rounds), this will also come in handy during traffic robberies

am I in a battle field? All I did was get all necessary tools to avoid spending extra, those scanner guys are criminals, they scan 5k per car while I bought the complete scanning tool for 8k,. A vulcanizer will tell u dat ur tire pressure is low wen it's not ND dey charge u 600 , when a tire pressure guage/checker is 1k at d market,, for d engine oil there are fakes being sold around, so I just thought instead of accidentally buying a fake it's better i order a carton so I won't have to spend anything on service for the full year,. Now I am starting to think of going to a fuel station and deposit 200k collect a card so I can come fill up tank whenever needed lol

My brother please don't beat up yourself too much, it's always like that when u just start.
But if u accept request to places u are not to familiar with kindly beg them to assist you with directions.
Don't be shy openly tell the person u don't know the route though sometimes they will tell u to use your map tell them your map have been misbehaving since morning.
So that they will be solely responsible for the direction if they direct you enter gutter na their business. Lolzz
grin
But sometimes your rating go dey shaky because body too dey pepper some riders.

I had one experience when I started, I got this early morning airport request at Simeon akiolu, Oniru estate.

I was turning the whole estate looking for the main gate as described by the woman because they open the main gate by 6.
The woman end up carrying her kaya with her head to come and meet me at the second gate.
grin
I started trip boom airport, my first time of going to airport from the island.
I wasn't familiar with the map then but I tried to follow the map until the woman said I should concentrate on my driving while she will interpret the map.
At every turn she will tell me to slow down so she can read the map well so we don't miss road.
At a point after iyana oworo she shouted (you know that panick shout) at me to slow down, I had to even halt in the middle of the express grin so she would be able to tell whether to go straight or follow gbagada apapa expressway. Chaii, it was not fuuny that day.
The woman almost cried, the next thing she exclaimed 'what type of life is this' did I commit any crime to book a cab?
I became more confused.
grin
At the end of the trip she gave me one of the shawarma she bought, I thanked her.
I drove straight to Ajao estate and parked under one big shield, only for me to notice that later my account have been blocked as I was devouring the shawama I was just recounting the whole episode at the same time feeling pity the my victim.
grin
I later mustered up courage and went to Taxify office they read the note the woman wrote them.
She even ended it with na waa for Taxify ooo.
grin
I simply told them the woman insists I should drive so she will direct me.
After everything they unblocked me, so after then if I get request in the island I will tell the rider am not to familiar with island routes. If it's on the mainland I will tell the rider I work mainly on the island.
grin
And give the person the condition that I can only complete the trip if he or she can direct me.
And funny enough it worked, story plenty ooo, we go dey alright las las.
grin
The lines i use till i sabi all lagos route.

I must see at least one Toyota corolla each day I set out since last year September, except when I don't go out and I no they are using it for this uber business
Everyday more and more cars are being added to e-hailing business, the platform is saturated with lots of cars and drivers, even SA don't have the numbers of cars we av here in Nigeria, Nigeria has only Lagos and Abuja for uber business but in SA there are more cities with uber service making it more profitable for drivers.

I really do not look at it this way though.... Instead, there should be intensive marketing for people to come on the platform.. The transport sector cannot be saturated. People move from one point to another at any given time

Look at it this way

If there are 10 clients looking for a ride In a street, and you are the only ride available, it's only one you can pick at a time. Abi?

So if the cars in an area is more than the riders, the solution should be to make more riders join the platform, rather than saying the platform is saturated..

Some people went to their various destination today through Taxify, Uber, Danfo, Yellow cab, Okada, Keke and the rest. If more of these people can join the e-Hailing platform as riders, the better

I think that's the solution. More riders are needed. That's all

Its not everyone that can afford uber/ taxify, so the make more customers they need to slash down price by doing that drivers partner get to suffer, the best way out of this is to expand the business so Lagos won't be chocked with to many partner driver

We are still saying the same thing sir

While there is a good number who can't afford it, there is still a good number that isn't enlightened about Uber and Taxify

For example, Airport to Festac is not more than 3k on Taxify. But those airport cabs can never charge that amount. And the shocker is people still use them. Does it mean those people can't afford taxify? No. They just are not aware that they can afford it

Inasmuch as some can't afford it, some are simply not aware that they can afford it

My brother you are a genius, business expansion is the only solution to the saturated uber business in lagos and Abuja. Business expansion to ogun and Oyo state even ogbomoso were we have lautech will also be a good business area.

Nice analysis, but how do they attract more riders? The only way I see is to reduce the price , which a lot are complaining that's it's ridiculously low.

Thats just the way I see it

Even the guy suggesting that they spread to other states will still get the same result. Before 4 months, corollas and Camry's will litter everywhere. And the complain of saturation will suffice

Let taxify and uber try and increase the number of riders on the platform. And also surges should be included intentionally for some particular locations and some particular periods of the day.

Yes, the prices are ridiculously low, but it will be profitable for me if I have more trips on low fares than having few trips on low fares
