I prefer HDI as a better measure of how well a country is doing, particularly in relation to the welfare of its citizens. And this important because everything starts from there. You don’t measure how well a country is doing by the number of private jets, limos, mansions etc. you measure how well a country is doing by indices like life expectancy, access to food, personal security, clean water, quality education etc.

Take a cue from Norway. Norwegians are very rich and top HDI indices but they don’t throw their weight all over the place. Norwegians are very modest and you Nigerians can learn a thing or two from them. They produce oil but have preserved their ecosystem and export lots of fish and fish products. Go to Ogoni and see how you Nigerians have messed up the environment there. You guys should talk less and learn more

Haa, u talking economy. I've always believed that mineral resources is not the surest way to run an economy, economy should be knowledge based. Mineral resources caused more damage than good to Nigeria and will still cause more to any mineral based economy unless the boom is channeled to other sustainable sectors.

Nigeria can still get its ass together, it has many potentials other than mineral resources which has not been utilised.

List what an "average ghanaian" spends money on daily( d essential commodities of course) and "average income", convert it to dollar and compare the same with a nigerian and see d diff.
