New Lagos-Ibadan railway ready in May, says NRC

The 156-kilometre new Lagos-Ibadan railway will be ready in May this year, the Managing Director, Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mr Fidet Okheria, has said.

He also said commercial operation would commence on the 85km Iju-Abeokuta section of the new standard gauge line after the ongoing free train ride by passengers on the line expected to last for three months.

The Iju-Abeokuta section of the standard gauge new railway is currently operating a daily free train, which will last for three months.

Wow this is great news. While PMB was working, PDP members were criticizing him. I will take this free train ride on monday.

This is one reason I'll be always be angry with Mahmood Yakubu for postponing the elections. Yesterday, we(Sane Nigerians) would've shown President Muhammadu Buhari that we appreciate the slow but steady progress he has made in repositioning the country and we would've given him 4 more years to continue in the path of slow but steady repositioning of the nation. Also, we would have used the opportunity to show to Atiku and PDP that we ain't fools and ain't ready to return to an era where funds meant for such projects are diverted to private pockets. Well, 23rd is just around the corner and I know the message will still be loudly and clearly announced to Atiku and his theiving crew

if there job had structure, there wouldn’t have been need to retrench workers. Common South Africa, a cleaner job can feed a small family. How many cleaning jobs in Nigeria can feed the guy/lady working? 90% of companies open just to collect government money. No business model.
