1. You can wear a pair of jean truser for 1 month there without washing it. It takes miracle for one to wear cloth twice in mainland.

2. Island is like the galaxy. when you shoot your shot , you either land in the moon or among stars. But in main land, hmmm.

3Life is easier as people over there value life because they have tasted it and and are enjoying it and also they have future. Unlike agege where a nonentity can end your life/future in a blink of an eye.

Ibeju lekki is ibeju lga, not lekki, eti osa lga.

So many misconceptions about Lekki especially the location. There are villages on ibeju lekki axis ( eg Igbo efon, Ajiran, ikota village, ilaje)but everyone claims lekki.

Benefits of living in Lekki 1 : good connect, speedy response by emergency services ( power , fire, road safety , police, ambulance etc) ,relatively good security .
you are the best guy.... You nailed it all! Lakue, Lakowe, Bogije, kajola, awoyaya, ologbufe, eputu,. But I live in Ajah along badore road, Remlek bus stop to be precised.

I moved to eleko last year and I can tell you it's far better than main land. Some believe housing is expensive but I have a two bed flat of 250,000 . Moreover there are better opportunities like marketing of goods, business development and real esrest business as well as job opportunity. And if you like within your income you can do great in matter of time.

you can't compare mainland to Island due to the caliber of people living there. island has more educated population with a more civilized way of living. you get to mingle to great minds. mainland on the other hand, my brother lets not just talk about mainland coz alot of them are on Nairaland and their bark is worse their bite. you can also trust them to hijack any thread grin
Funny but truth.

people are all coming to better lifestyle but not minding the environmental factors.. the close proximity to the sea.. though it's only a matter of time these may become a problem... erosion and flooding whenever there is massive rainfall...
the water aren't clean and so many people living fake lifestyle

1- close proximity to VI as most company's head office is on the island.
2- many rich people live in the axis
3- ajah is now filled up but it made many millionaires, ibeju lekki will do same too

Thanks

I would rather live in Magodo (Mainland) than reside in Ibeju-Lekki (Island).

-You get to mingle and associate with people that matter.
-There's security.
-You feel accomplished.
-Constant electricity.
-Police doesn't mess with you because they don't know who you know.

Note: I don't live in lekki, just what I see on tv and on the internet.

Were would u c d "people that matter" to mingle & associate with? If u are on mainland, won't u feel accomplished? Who told u police don't harass people in lekki axis? Not to sure about d "constant electricity", it depends on were u are. Not everybody gets d same electricity supply

Well, to me i see nothing in it because i live in Abijo Ibeju Lekki and there is nothing different here to mainland aside from population, Abijo left hand side is not different to Orile or Ajegunle and that is how it is down to Lakuwe, likewise Sangotedo tho it is part of Ajah not Ibeju Lekki.
Ajah end at Majek while Ibeju Lekki start from Fidiso and that is how the development end at Majek-Ajah while the rest (Abijo and others) are under-development I. Talking of connection, Ibeju lekki eti osa is not like Ikoyi, Lekki 1 and 2 or VGC. Na God know even me wey dey talk na hard labour i dey do der. God can locate you anywhere and everywhere because i dey plan of leaving here go

Hello,

I searched every section and I feel this is somewhat the best place.

A friend of mine, early this month, went to Lekki for our business prospecting and came back with euphoric excitement. He said he must relocate to Lekki.

Though, he has been nursing the idea since 2017. His reason is that his boss who left him at our current location has become extremely successful and wealthy. He said he would love to pitch his tent too.

In 2016 I spent 1 month there at a friend's house and I didn't really feel the excitement or potential as taunted by lots of people. Maybe I was a bit close minded or because my business model was mainly online then.

But now, I am gradually shifting into offline business (with a mix of online) and already eyeing the Lekki, ibeju Lekki to be precise, in terms of potential for entrepreneur, what are the benefits of living in Lekki?

Please help with insight that can guide my decision.

FYI ibeju Lekki isn't island, infact from Igbo efon down is not island

Cons.
Terrible mosquitoes
Flood when it rains
Shitty acidic water- cant use it to cook or wash cloth
Traffic these days
Flexing is expensive- 500 pepper soup in ikotun is 2500 here. 400 beer is 1k here.
