1.Good neighborhood.
2.meet good people (networking)
3.easy access to pubs.
4.Good job is at your finger tip.. just ask your neighbor...lol.

Disadvantages...
1.everything is over priced.
2. Costly apartment (but nice)
3. Bad water.
4. Everybody wants to live with you.
5. You're always a target for bad guys.
6. People take you as a proud guy, once you say I live in Lekki.
7. Flood.
8. Intimidation... 2008 Camry is just a Taxi..
9. Girls want to collect 20k as tf for coming around.
....
....
....
Ignore all the disadvantages, life's quite better over here...
It's worth it,sometimes you get fed up,but most times you will smile.
that your no 9 is sad but true

So all those olosho are still men of calibre. Or those agberos living in lekki are more civilized or those yahoo boys are more educated. Rubbish Many houses on the island are built by people in the mainland. The Landlord prefer to stay in the mainland and the Tenants prefers to stay in the island. You see the sense. I'm an insider.

bru that underdeveloped lekki is far better that the developed parts of mainland. worse thing about mainland is the overpopulation especially those who are new to Lagos so even you wey dey find connection go jam who dey find connection pass you.

Are u kidding me, Lekki is just an overrated slum, dirty gutters, bad water, endless flood .. falomo is the only part that makes sense on d island, and some parts in VI

Lekki, Victoria island , are completely different from the mainland .

When it comes to upgrading in business and you don't want the buisness to die , just move to the island .

Mainland ehn? They will use gbese! I mean credit owing to destroy the biz.

Forget mainland ! cheesy

Ibeju Lekki is the real deal now. In a couple of years landed property there will be as expensive as a plot for 30 million. I was also able to purchase 2 plots of land from KAB constructions for 5m two months ago.
Quorax:
Hello,

I searched every section and I feel this is somewhat the best place.

A friend of mine, early this month, went to Lekki for our business prospecting and came back with euphoric excitement. He said he must relocate to Lekki.

Though, he has been nursing the idea since 2017. His reason is that his boss who left him at our current location has become extremely successful and wealthy. He said he would love to pitch his tent too.

In 2016 I spent 1 month there at a friend's house and I didn't really feel the excitement or potential as taunted by lots of people. Maybe I was a bit close minded or because my business model was mainly online then.

But now, I am gradually shifting into offline business (with a mix of online) and already eyeing the Lekki, ibeju Lekki to be precise, in terms of potential for entrepreneur, what are the benefits of living in Lekki?

Please help with insight that can guide my decision.

I moved to eleko last year and I can tell you it's far better than main land. Some believe housing is expensive but I have a two bed flat of 250,000 . Moreover there are better opportunities like marketing of goods, business development and real esrest business as well as job opportunity. And if you like within your income you can do great in matter of time.

you can't compare mainland to Island due to the caliber of people living there. island has more educated population with a more civilized way of living. you get to mingle to great minds. mainland on the other hand, my brother lets not just talk about mainland coz alot of them are on Nairaland and their bark is worse their bite. you can also trust them to hijack any thread grin

You that live in Olokonla after Ajah, heading towards Epe, shebi you're also part of the snooty 'Island' crowd? How many parts of the Island (Apart from Banana, Old Ikoyi, Parkview, and some parts of VI) are better than GRA Ikeja, Shonibare Estate Ikeja and even Amuwo/Festac Extension or Magodo?

Even in terms of high streets, I don't know any street on Lekki 1 that is as 'high' as Isaac John in GRA Ikeja. It ranks right up there with any high street in the most upscale parts of anywhere in Lagos.

This Mainland/Island distinction is really needless. The big ballers, the fakers and the empty church rats in Lagos are like air. They are everywhere.

One of the benefits is getting babes easily. Just park a sharp tinted ride by her side. With AC at the coolest temperature. Start a discussion and mention "I live in lekki". wink The rest is history grin

That place he's talking about, it's 1 and half hours drive from Lekki Phase 1.

Eleko is a very far rural area just experiencing industrialisation.

You can't compare it to Abijo not to talk of Ajah before we now talk of Lekki Phase 1.
