Come Out And Vote On Saturday, Atiku Urges Nigerians by vegafbs: 11:04am On Feb 21, 2019 |
http://nextedition.com.ng/2019/02/21/come-vote-saturday-atiku-urges-nigerians/ The presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has called on Nigerians to make their voices heard on Saturday, February 23 through the ballot box. In a live to broadcast on Twitter and Facebook on Thursday, February 21, Atiku reminded Nigerians of the importance of making their voices heard through their permanent voters’ cards, stressing that elections were carried for citizens to determine who will govern the country in the next four years. According to him, he was very proud to be a Nigerian and a Democrat adding that another opportunity had come for Nigerians to repeat what they did on March 28, 2015, when the people went to their polling units armed only with their PVCs to vote out the then incumbent President from the office. “This Saturday, we will have the opportunity to do so again, my message to you is simple, please come out and vote as this election is about your future and the future of our great nation,” he said. Atiku also laid emphasis on the fact that Nigerians are all equal on election day and no vote was more crucial than the other. “On election day, we are all equal, there is no single vote which is more important than any other, but if you do not vote, you will be accepting that the next four years will be like the last.” Atiku urged all Nigerians to use the power of their PVCs to get Nigeria working again. “The power to get Nigeria working again is in your Permanent Voters Cards. I will be voting with mine on Saturday and I call on you to please join me irrespective of who you wish to vote for. God bless you and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he concluded. Recall that the Presidential and National Assembly elections which were slated for February 16, 2019 were cancelled five hours to the commencement of voting due to logistics challenges in some part of the country. 17 Likes 2 Shares

VOTE WISELY! BUHARI FOR SECOND TERM Civil Servant or Public Servant should think twice before casting their VOTE. One factor is that at least 70% of ALLOCATION to STATES comes from NNPC. IF eventually NNPC is sold to ATIKU's friends as promised, definitely your SALARY has being sold off, your JOB has being sold off. Think deeply. Thanks. ~Retired Biafran Army "Chinedu Madu" caution civil servant. This election has the following in built factors: The licenses of DISCOS have expired and the PMB’s government is to allow more companies to come in. The OIL prospecting licenses of the Generals have expired and PMB is set to allocate them to the States for infrastructural development and thirdly and the most important the monopolistic license issued to INTELS with an annual revenue of N300 billion will expire in 2020 and PMB will not renew it. This has been the mainstay of Atiku. Wike and Secondus are also beneficiaries. Therefore the elections is between the masses and those who have cornered our commonwealth. If you are not their friend and you are supporting them without verifying these expiry dates of their economic dominance you have to think twice. God bless Nigeria 23 Likes 3 Shares |

To stop you from turning Nigeria into a land of criminals. Atiku is trying to become the president for his own selfish interest, he has been contesting since 1993 jumping from one party to another. If that doesn’t tell you something nothing will. AAC Sowore 2019 5 Likes 2 Shares |

. Ladies and gentlemen, young boys and girls, PDP have a history of corruption and ineptitude. However, over the last 4 years PDP more than any other party has learnt its lesson. (does not mean they are now perfect though) PDP has witnessed a huge purge. Many patently corrupt persons have now abandoned the party. PDP is witnessing an internal restructuring. Atiku and Obi have committed to ceding 40% appointments to youth. This is your opportunity to change Nigeria for good forever. Stand up and be counted! And after the win on Saturday hold your leaders feet to the fire. They must deliver a better Nigeria for us all (even those who do not vote PDP, all Nigerians deserve better governance). WILL YOU DIE IF YOU VOTE PDP? . 15 Likes 2 Shares

People who conceive Atiku's presidency will better their life need to be awoken from their slumber. Unless, it's not the same Atiku who sold national asset, ALSCON estimated to be built at $3.5billion but was sold at $250million and he admitted made mistake. Unless, it's not the same Atiku that established one of the most expensive Universities in Nigeria when ASUU was on strike for more than half a year due to unpaid salaries to teachers. He completely neglected public school when his attention was needed most. Unless it's not the same Atiku that caused by shutdown of over 800 companies in Nigeria and millions of Nigerians were out of job to faulty handling of the privatization project. Nigerians docility stings to high heavens. Shame 7 Likes |

AIR FORCE GIRLS COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL, ABUJA JUMA’AH KHUTBAH (FRIDAY SERMON) BY NASIRUDDEN ABDULLAHI ISA ON SINCERITY/TRUTHFULNESS In the Name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful All praise is to Allah who is Honest in His pronouncements and guides to the Right Path. He himself praises those that are truthful and promises them entrance into Paradise. None is more truthful than Him, He, indeed, does not guide anyone who intentionally keeps-on committing sin, one who keeps on telling lies We testify that He is the only one Who deserves to be worshipped sincerely. He is alone, having no partners. We also testify that our leader Muhammad (SAW) is His servant as well as Messenger. He is the truthful, who always says, but the truth. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and all those who follow his guidance and they are those who listen to speeches and make use of that which is the best. O you Muslims! We must know that being truthful is a character and an attribute of Allah that is expected to show in us. No Messenger was sent, except he has been certified to be honest in the deliverance of his Message. A Muslims can have any characteristic except lying and betrayal, but today truthfulness and sincerity are fast disappearing from the characters of people, even Muslims. And if one is to be truthful it should be a Muslim because it is part of the manners of our Prophet, which earned him the name Al-AMEEN (the truthful) and commendation from Allah in His saying: وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ “And indeed, you (Oh Muhammad) are of great moral character.” Truthful in pronouncement, honest in dealings and of abstaining from all evils are attributes of a Muslim just as telling lies, and betrayal of trust are characters of hypocrites. Among men, there are some, whose speech will impress you in this life but in reality, they are the most evil in action as Qur’an described them: وَيُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ عَلَى مَا فِي قَلْبِهِ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ “They may even call the name of Allah to be a witness to what they say, but in reality, they are the most evil of your opponents.” This is because what they are saying is not the truth: They are the followers of Shaitan,, they have given their righteousness in exchange for misguidance and given up forgiveness to earn punishment. There are people who talk impressively in your presence and turns out to be your opponents in your absence, such are the people one should fear associating with, because Allah says: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ “O you who believe! Fear Allah and be (only) with those who are truthful.” And just like all other sins, falsehood is detested by the souls of believers, because if it is committed once, it becomes easy for man to commit it again, and if it is committed again, it will be easier for man to commit it over and over until it becomes a part of one’s life. Allah says: إِنَّمَا يَفْتَرِي الْكَذِبَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآَيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ “It is only those who did not believe in the revelations of Allah, who fabricate falsehood, and it is they who are liars.” If people are not truthful, it will be difficult to distinguish between a Muslim and a non-Muslim or between the righteous and the evil. Corruption, enmity and cheating in all their ramifications will be widespread. A healthy society cannot be established or maintained if one brother cannot trust another simply because the other cannot say the truth about himself or about any other person or things. If the disbelievers of the Pre-Islamic era like Abu Sufyan will hate telling lies so as not to be called liars, what then is the matter with us, the believers of today, who are endowed with the perfect religion that enjoins truthfulness and forbids telling lies? Telling lies and idol worshipping are placed on the same scale in the Qur’an where Allah says: فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ “Avoid the abomination of idol worshipping and (in the same vein), avoid false statement.” We must know, that the way a man is before Allah, that is how he will be before the angels and they shall testify either in favour of, or against him on the Last Day. That is why the Prophet (SAW) said he enjoined us to be truthful for it leads to righteousness. We should avoid telling lies, for it leads to evil. Allah says: وَمَا آَتَاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ “Whatever the Messenger brought to you, hold unto it firmly, and whatever he forbids you abstain from it. Fear Allah for His punishment is so severe.” Truth is one of the things he came with, and telling lies is one of the evil things he forbade, we must therefore make a choice. PART II Praise be to Allah (SWT) Who is always truthful in His sayings and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon His Prophet, Muhammad (SAW), his family, his companions and whoever follows his laid-down principles. Brothers and sisters in Islam! Is it not disturbing for one to trust you and then you lie to him? It is a scandal, when a non-believer or a sinful person has dealing with you with absolute honesty, then you (who is supposed to be an example for all) will turn out to be untruthful. You are by so doing, telling him that, that is how your religion is. Yes! Many a times, it is Muslims themselves that disgraces and tarnishes the image of Islam. Unless if we are truthful in our acts of worship and we are truthful in our interaction with others, we would not attain greatness and we cannot provide examples worthy of emulation. Do not be among those who swear in the Name of Allah even when what they swear for is not the truth because for such people is a provision of a tormenting fire in the life after. Shaitan refused to bow down for Prophet Adam (AS) and gave the reason that he was better than Adam (AS) a statement which is a lie, and for that, Allah flushed him out of Paradise. This is a clear indication that Allah can withdraw His favours on one who makes telling lies his/her habit. Because of the fear that the blessings of Allah may be withdrawn from one who tells lies as it happened to Shaitan, the Prophet (SAW) enjoins Muslims to be truthful. Remember, apart from the spiritual benefits of always saying the truth, there are a lot of other benefits in it for people. For instance, if scholars will be sincere and truthful in their preaching such that the preaching will be free of selfish explanations and manipulative translations, they will be accorded more respect and their opinions will be widely used. If Muslims will fear Allah and be among the truthful in their worship to Allah, be sincere in their worship with no showing off, abide by the commands of Allah and shun the things He prohibited, they would have found Allah Most Generous, Most Forgiving, Most Rewarding and Most Merciful and they would have been a source of good example for others. It is a major crisis when trust is lost and people become dishonest in their dealings with one another. The Prophet says: ‘Among those whom Allah will not speak to on Judgment Day, will not even mention them and they will have grievous Punishment is one who sells something to another person, swearing by the Name of Allah to have bought it at so and so a price, making the buyer to believe him, while in reality he is lying.’ Know it O you people, that if truth and sincerity disappear from the moral values of people, such people are heading for spiritual and social collapse such that parents will not be ashamed of lying to their children and children will not be afraid of lying to their parents, leaders will think it normal to lie to their people and people will think it wise to also lie to their leaders. May Allah show us the truth and give us the ability to follow it. May He make falsehood manifest, and give us the courage to avoid it. |
