Coolcash1:Why is Diamond a good buy at the moment? I am considering it , but will be buying at about a year high price. I normally hate to do that. Whats the price prospect in view of the takeover. Just want opinions please. |

The attraction for buying Diamond is the upside that one will get from the merger with Access Bank. N1 cash dividend and 2 shares in Access for every 7 Diamond shares. The deal can even be sweeter if the loss being expected in Diamond Bank for Q4 comes lower than being anticipated (minimum of N150b). Access is already depressed and the chances that it will go lower than the current N6.30 is low. But what do we know, this market can say anything. millo: |

There are good stocks that have over the years delivered good returns and are still delivering good returns and will continue to do so with the right management in place. GTBank, Zenith Bank, Total, Mobil, Nestle etc. Deadlytruth: |

rebekah2011:Diamond bank 2.43 x 7 = #17.01 Access bank #6.40 x 2 + #1 = #13.8 This show that currently Diamond bank is higher than access, meaning that when converting to Access bank, at current price, the holder of Diamond bank will be losing #17.01 - #13.8 = #3.21 Or am I mistaking something? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 1:45pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Yes Sir. The N1 is on every Diamond bank shares N7 Access bank #6.40 x 2 + #7 = #19.8 Chibuking81: |

That is why you do not have to sleep. Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 results are there for you to analyse. Online trading platform is also available to bail out at the speed of light. Lafarge Wapco used to be a good stock but the signs that things are not ok have been there since. In this market, you cannot go to sleep Deadlytruth: |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 1:58pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
ndidigood:That now depends on the company performance, their Q4 and other reports going forward. No one have answer to your kwesion except God or maybe the board and Mgmt. |

rebekah2011:https://www.pulse.ng/bi/finance/why-we-are-merging-with-access-bank-diamond-bank/0rwzbxx Ok, I got it now. That shows that instead of paying their shareholders dividend this year, the dividend will go to Diamond bank shareholders. I use to have interest in Access bank, but since they enter this deal with Diamond bank, I started having apathy in both company. 1. If the deal failed at 11 hours, the way election failed to hold at 11th hours, Diamond bank will be at the receiving end. 2. If they succeeded, as it has high percentage of succeeding, access bank will suffer it, because it will take them at least 2 years to balance up after the payment. In Nigeria everything is possible, I wish those in the bus well. |

rebekah2011:You just said my mind, for a market like ours with so much uncertainty as regards company management /government policies, a well diversified portfolio would be appropriate, (probably 5-10 fundamentally sound stock), these stocks should only be picked when it becomes cheap[low PE/Close to year low] , then he can rebalance his portfolio from time to time 3 Likes |

Mpeace: Yes. It will be 25.94; gotten via (10*1.1^10). The 1.1 is for the 10% increment on the initial principal per day hence 100%+10% = 110% and equivalent to 1.1. This implies that 10% increase for 10 days on the investment will generate 159% increment; (25.94-10)/10 |

millo:This discussion has been over-flogged here! Shows you people don't read but just love handouts. After given you the handout self, you will still come back to insult the handout giver if things doesn't go the way you expected. A great man once said, if you want to hide something from black man just put it in black and white (a book). |

Dwizeone:Yes, everyone is entitled to it..... Both candidates aren't "right" for the position self and Nigerians aren't truthful to themselves either. They showed us that they have nothing to offer, example is bunking debate. The right candidates are not popular...irony of life. Anyway, everything is peaceful so far and we pray it be peaceful to the end. |
