Chealseafan1,your car clean jarey, enjoy am wella. No let anybody tell you otherwise. C230k is in high demand, way more demand than it's m272 bearing counterpart. Don't let any of these guys cajole you into selling it for less than 2.4m That's it's actual price 3 Likes |

nwanneniressure: How much is Registration for this vehicle sef, I mean number plates, insurance and the likes? |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by sacramento1212: 2:44pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Chelseafan1: Lagos is 5 to 10K cheaper than Abuja. Between 40 to 45K should register it includes 3rd party insurance. Comprehensive insurance is different if that's the one you prefer. |

sacramento1212: I don't need the comprehensive insurance |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by nwanneniressure: 3:10pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Chelseafan1:100k.comprehensive insurance included |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by sacramento1212: 3:15pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Chelseafan1: Then budget max #45K for everything. If vehicle is tinted, you will get a tinted permit which should cost 15 to 20K |

Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Philadelphia: 3:30pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Who are those over-hyping the c300? Let's compare the c300/c350 with the Lexus ES350; both year 2008. Let the comparison begin. |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Philadelphia: 3:33pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
nwanneniressure: If you wanna sell your C230 for 2.4m, how much does a w203 c280 or c350 sell for? |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by sacramento1212: 3:37pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Philadelphia: No need for comparison to avoid derailing the thread. C300 is a nice car but if i must do a w204, then it must be a 2012, 2013 or 2014 C350 sedan even though it can be scarce sometimes. All issues faced with the 2008 to 2010 such as the EIS failure were resolved from 2012. Brand sometimes has to do with individual's choice. Lexus is a nice brand and also Jap reliability but personally i prefer Mercedes. |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by HeavenlyBang(m): 3:38pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Philadelphia:ES350 has a more refined interior than the two, and has more power than the C300. Power delivery is also smoother on the ES. Both C classes drive better and that's about it. ES350 looks better imo. Cheaper to purchase, cheaper to maintain. 1 Like |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by sacramento1212: 3:40pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Philadelphia: The vehicle condition can or may affect the price. If the car has a low mileage untampered, price won't be same as one that has has a very high mileage. You can as well check it out on various USA car sites. Mileage determines the prices of cars. Personally, i won't do a 2004/2005 C230 for 2.4. I'll rather do a C320 |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by nwanneniressure: 3:42pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Philadelphia:demand and supply baba.basic economics. C230k is in high demand cos it's economical to run than those things you mentioned up there That is why |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by HeavenlyBang(m): 4:01pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
sacramento1212:I have no idea why the 2005 C320 isn't popular. Imo, it's the only good W203. |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Philadelphia: 4:24pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
nwanneniressure: You wanna teach me basic laws of demand and supply in economics? Okay, let me ask you a question; Why then does a 2005 corolla cost less (about 1.4/5m) than a 2005 c230k? Is it that the demand for MB is more than the corolla of that year? |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by nwanneniressure: 4:26pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Philadelphia:comparing apples to oranges? Not a good idea na baba |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Philadelphia: 4:28pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
sacramento1212: Title and mileage both affects the cost of cars but they're not the only factors to consider when price is key. My point is that aside the fact that the c230k in question is not registered, it's considered as a naija used. So, the price has to be less. I bet you that the one who wants to sell got it for 2.5m or less than the price he wants to sell it for after using it. That's not a fair deal if you ask me. And ladyjblinks sells c300/c350 cheaper than others selling those cars. However, proceed with caution as I'm not endorsing her deals; although I've heard that her deals are okay. I haven't patronised her. 1 Like |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Philadelphia: 4:30pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
nwanneniressure: Why do car manufacturers compare cars of different brands then? Your statement above is a subtle way of avoiding questions. |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by nwanneniressure: 4:31pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
sacramento1212:market reality is my stance. Take a good look at chealseafan1's car,I've seen uglier ones go for 2.2m,let alone his. Fuel economy, ruggedity and cheaper parts makes the c230k be in high demand. 2.4m is fair for his car tho |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by nwanneniressure: 4:33pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Philadelphia:bro, his car isn't naija used. It is tokunbo, never registered. I don't know where this is going |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by sacramento1212: 5:02pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Philadelphia: His C230 can't be classified as naija used because it isn't registered. It's a toks but even though that's not the yardstick to determine the price. Many are crazy about low mileage cars but fail to put into consideration the service history of the said vehicle. I will rather buy a high mileage vehicle that was well maintained than a low mileage car that wasn't following the maintenance schedule as at when due. Well, as for the C300/C350, I won't just fall for cheap offers except all is well with the said vehicle. I'll rather do a pre-order on such cars than buy locally here. All it requires is patience to achieve this and you save cost and even get the best most times. 1 Like |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by sacramento1212: 5:05pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
nwanneniressure: Okay, and again the year of manufacture of the vehicle. But if all is well with the ride, one can still buy if the price is fair after comparing with the market value. |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by nwanneniressure: 5:26pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
sacramento1212:i was talking about market value na. This is not the prefacelift, confuses lots of folks all the time tho Well over 2.2m now as we speak |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by Philadelphia: 7:57pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
sacramento1212: What if his car's mileage was rolled back? |
Re: Mercedes Benz Thread by sacramento1212: 8:13pm On Feb 22, 2019 |
Philadelphia: Before i purchase any vehicle, i must definitely do a VIN check on it. Many tok vehicles out there are advertised with tampered mileages. |
