Dino melaye of People's Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated Senator Smart Adeyemi of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
From the declaration of final results at INEC collation centre in Lokoja, the retuning officer Professor Emmanuel Bala, Melaye won six out of seven local government councils in Kogi West senatorial district.

If ending political career as senate president of the FederalRepublic of Nigeria (after being a state governor for 8 years) is what you are celebrating as humiliation, I think Bukola Saraki should celebrate it by himself. What the guy did for those of you that have memory loss was that he went against his father, when the father insisted that it was Gbemisola (the Bukola younger sister) that would become governor of the state immediately after the expiration of the administration of Bukola Saraki

I only responded to what some people are saying. As far as Nigeria politics is concerned, Saraki has achieved politically. Moreso, he has reached the end of his life.
In his life time, the higher positions he has not occupied are that of Vice President and President of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I dont mean going to seek redress in court...I actually meant,he could still contest and win in future elections...It now depends on how his opponent would perform as senator.
