Do you think paf will send their jets into a area which is defended by SAMs ? Also they were at stand off distance on their side of airspace.

So jets were scrambled and the jets pursed the retreating paf fighters.

It was a foolish thing in my opinion , because it was a bait to lure the aircrafts into a ambush by AAMs and SAMs.


Guess the pilots did not care in the heat of the battle.

Pakistan Airforce Force jets Intruded into Indian air space and locked on to 6 Indian army buildings but missed the target and let the bombs drop near the targets. This was done as planned.

As India jets took off and came close , all but one PAF jet came back to Pakistani air space.

The single jet remained inside India and lured Indian jets closer.

As Indian jets came close the last remaining Pakistani jet also crossed into Pakistani territory, gained altitude and speed and sped off.

On Pakistani side a few Thunders were waiting as planned and as soon as Indian jets crossed into Pakistan, they were shot and destroyed.

At least one fell inside Pakistani territory and another fell inside Indian occupied Kashmir.

Every move was meticulously planned. All this planning within a few hours of the so called Indian Surgical strike.

They destroyed our trees in 4 locations. We did the same in 6 of theirs.

We did even better and shot down their jets and at least one Indian pilot is now in Pakistani custody. In all India lost two advanced Fighter jets and Three pilots.

This is called real "Surgical Strike" with the precision of a surgeon. The revenge is taken sweetly.[/b]

If push comes to shove I don't think the Pakistani's will come out victorious. India still have a lil edge over them but that doesn't mean that both sides won't suffer heavy casualties/losses.

1 MiG21 Bison + 1 Su-30MKI (Probabale) shot down in Pakistani territory after IAF gave chase to 4 PAF aircraft returning home from Target bombing inside Indian airspace. Once inside PAK airspace 2 JF 17 aircraft of PAF laying in wait in blue territory flanked the IAF aircraft with Missiles. 2 Pilots arrested thus far with search for 3rd ongoing.

You are right about Pakistani navy, but if you look at it , the Pakistan’s doctrine is merely defensive so there’s no need of power projection. Pakistan’s surface fleet consists of frigates, gunboats, missile boats and fast attack crafts as you might have noticed that there are no destroyers, cruisers or Aircraft carriers in the fleet.

Pakistan’s defense budget which is largely taken up by the army owing to the large size of personnel and the amount that is left for the navy and the way that Pakistan navy manages itself and the duties it performs is really commendable i.e. apart from the surface fleet Pakistan navy also fields a formidable submarine fleet and an air arm which consists of various fixed wing and rotary wing aircrafts.

Another factor we must put to the equation is the personnel, Pakistan navy doesn’t have enough personnel to field a carrier battle group. The basic idea that most people don’t get is that operating a carrier doesn’t mean just an aircraft carrier. An aircraft carrier is the centerpiece of a larger attack formation called a carrier battle group that consists of various ships for support and protection of the aircraft carrier and what good is an aircraft carrier without a squadron of aircraft which to field one country needs funds and more than funds the country needs personnel, a single aircraft carrier requires around 2000 people to operate and those personnel are only for the aircraft carrier and not for the support and defense crafts in the carrier battle groups.


The final factor that we must acknowledge is that Pakistan Navy’s unconventional order of battle and the doctrine that it operates under. Instead of an aircraft carrier for power projection Pakistan navy operates a fleet of submarines which are equipped with air independent propulsion system that makes them virtually silent and really hard to detect and those are armed with anti ship missiles and could be armed with nuclear missiles as well so for force projection Pakistan navy uses these submarines which are stealthier and cheaper to operate than an aircraft carrier. These Subs have successfully fired SM39 Exocets and Babur SLCMs in 2001 and 2017 respectively from the torpedo tubes.

Pakistani Frigates are armed with SSMs of both western and Chinese origin that can target enemy ships and carry Z9 helicopters for Anti-Submarine Warfare. Pakistan Navy also works in conjunction with Pakistan Air Force’s Squadrons based at Karachi which operate Mirage Vs and JF17s armed with various antishipping missiles and are trained for Maritime strike using Exocets, CM802s and CM400 AKGs.

It would be stupidity and utter hogwash to compare Pakistan navy to Indian Navy on paper without factoring in these points, India has a huge coastline so her navy is tasked with the protection of a larger coastline. In case of war between Pakistan and India, India wouldn’t use all of its ships and with the advent of Anti-ship missiles and nuclear weapons Pakistan navy will prove to be a formidable opponent for any navy and is more than capable of performing the task that is the defense of Pakistan’s coastline from any form of aggression.

NAF NAMES ANOTHER BUILDING AFTER LATE SQUADRON LEADER BABA-ARI

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) yesterday, 26 February 2019, commissioned and named another building after late Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Muhammed Bello Baba-Ari, the NAF fighter pilot who died in an air mishap while participating in the aerial display rehearsals for the 58th Nigerian Independence Day Celebration. The new building, which is a block of six 3-bedroom flats for officers, is located at NAF Base Asokoro, Abuja. It was constructed by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and furnished by the NAF.

Speaking during the event, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, who was represented by the Chief of Administration, Headquarters NAF, Air Vice Marshal Kingsley Lar, stated that the current administration has been able to promote accommodation sufficiency from 45 per cent in 2015 to 70 per cent in 2019. The CAS noted that the 70 per cent accommodation sufficiency rate recorded within three and half years was achieved despite the fact that an unprecedented number of personnel, over 7,500 airmen/airwomen and 400 officers, had been recruited and enlisted respectively into the NAF within the period. He noted that efforts would be sustained to improve the level of accommodation sufficiency, as a way of motivating personnel to be more effective in the performance of their duties. He therefore thanked the MOD for contributing to NAF’s efforts at enhancing the welfare of its personnel. He also urged the beneficiaries to ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained.

Earlier in his remarks, the Commander 053 Headquarters NAF Camp, Air Commodore Abubakar Yusuf, thanked the CAS for always placing premium on the welfare of personnel. He noted that the CAS had executed several welfare-related projects in Abuja which had drastically reduced the accommodation challenges facing personnel.

It would be recalled that, as a mark of honour for the supreme price paid by Late Sqn Ldr Baba-Ari, the NAF, on 18 December 2018, named a newly commissioned Pilots’ Crew Room at the Headquarters Air Task Force (HQ ATF) Operation LAFIYA DOLE in Maiduguri after the late senior officer.
