TheGoodJoe: And whose fault is it if I may ask? The matches he started this season, and the ones he came off the bench for, how did he utilize those opportunities? |

Curtisaxel7: I once predicted that nacho may find himself in a lower tier league if he doesn't up his game. Rogers may not give him the same opportunities Puel gave him 1 Like |

Here is the Egypt squad we are bound to host. Expect Rohr to call up our regulars, instead of giving opportunities to our fringe/uncapped stars doing well all over Europe. Goalkeepers: Mahmoud Gennesh (Zamalek), Mahmoud Abou-Gabal (Smouha), Ahmed El-Shennawy (Pyramids), Amer Amer (Entag El-Harby) Defenders: Omar Gaber (Pyramids), Mohamed Hany (Al Ahly), Ali Gabr (Pyramids), Mahmoud Alaa (Zamalek), Baher El-Mohamady (Ismaily), Ahmed Ayman Mansour (Pyramids), Karim Hafez (Kasimpasa), Ahmed Aboul-Fotouh (Smouha) Midfielders: Amr El-Sulaya (Al Ahly), Mohamed Elneny (Arsenal), Tarek Hamed (Zamalek), Ali Ghazal (CD Feirense), Mohamed Nabil ‘Dunga’ (Pyramids) Strikers: Ahmed Hassan Kouka (Olympiacos), Salah Mohsen (Al Ahly), Mostafa Mohamed (Tala’a El-Gaish) |

edi287: I agree with that 100% .. he got us Coutinho.. But identifying talented players is one thing ..Grooming them is another.. Aside Coutinho, what happened to the numerous talented players he signed? |

ChrisKels: Salah,Sobhi and Hamed Hegazi are the only notable names absent here.. most of the players here were at the world cup self... I'm expecting a 25 man list from Rohr with at least 5 being home based. |

darkelf: It has always been as clear as crystal my dear. There was no way a player that struggles to trap a ball would last in the premier league. It's just impossible. It's time we faced the fact, the premier league is too high for Iheanacho. It has nothing to do with his team tactics, team mates or even his own discipline and work rate. He simply lacks the quality. Simple and short. Maybe by next season when Brendan Rodgers finally demotes him permanently to the U-23's (where his playing time will still not be guaranteed), he will finally make his dream move to China to make as much pension money as possible before he starts getting benched there too. . 4 Likes |

Danielnino00: Egyptian players are not typically as talented as players from West Africa. What they really have going for them is their very good tactical awareness. I think their league is highly responsible for that. In all my years of followership of the game Mohammed Salah is their best export to the European leagues. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Danielnino00(m): 12:37pm On Mar 01, 2019 |
Icon4s: I agree with you regarding the talent part cus their age grade teams aren't anywhere close to that of west Africa's.. in fact the whole north Africa only shine at senior and club level.. West African countries really need to invest more in their league to stop the exodus of good players to obscure leagues in Europe.. That way, they can match north African teams on the continent... |

Danielnino00:Well Sturridge was a hit till the injuries kicked in. Lallana has been hot and cold. Same with Loren Clyne started well but off the field issues has ruined him He also signed Joe Gomez, Can, Miller and Firmino. I mean let's not forget he didn't have the backing Klopp has in terms of transfers (Klopp is obviously a better coach I know). Dude didn't want to sign Balotelli and Benteke sha. Anyway truth is Nacho will have to improve considerably to be first choice in his team. 1 Like |

edi287: I'm guessing you are a Liverpool fan... if so,then I'm sure u know how Rodgers time at Liverpool was like cus ur last statement is the koko of the matter.. Nacho needs to prove himself again for Rodgers to consider him. there's just 10 games to the end of the season and I'm sure he will get game time and he must grab it! Rodgers will not wait for him to regain form next season.. the man will definitely sign a new striker in the summer... and @ the bolded, I think one of the conditions Klopp gave before signing for Liverpool was that he should be in charge of transfer. I don't think Rodgers had the balls to request for that.. Unlike Rodgers, all of Klopp's signing at Liverpool have been a hit! |
