Egyptian players are not typically as talented as players from West Africa. What they really have going for them is their very good tactical awareness. I think their league is highly responsible for that.

In all my years of followership of the game Mohammed Salah is their best export to the European leagues.

Salah is not the best, he is exceptional as an example .

Mind u , the yardstick of using Egyptian players to compare with West African players is subconsciously revealing from your mind where they should be and how good they are, placing them against a whole region that is a powerhouse of African football in Europe.. You didn't place them side by side with just Nigeria or Ghana or ivory coast or Senegal. Ivory coast however happens to be the only country that might surpass the Egyptian team in terms of quality over the past ten years .

Sir, the coach shouldn't take the entire blame. The ladies are weak and tired. They are old and already getting out of shape. The team needs young and promising players. sad

If it was about being weak and tired don't u think they would have lost? Whose job i it to get the young promising players u are talking about?

The fact is the Slovakian coach changed his tactics and our coach was lost.

Well, you are spot on. Hopefully, he will recruit new players. If we take these poor performances to the World Cup, we'll crash out at the early stage. embarassed

The worst form of segregation is done in the Super Falcons

They have a young Brighton and Hove striker that was supposed to be integrated into the team

But they forced her out

Oshoala, Ebi, Ohale, Ordega, Okobi and Oparanozie could make the team in any era of our football. The coach is not utilizing the talents on his hand.

Oparanozie and Chikwelu are past their prime but they are holding the team hostage together with Ordega

The coward of a coach is powerless over them

We didn't lose and we didn't need extra time or penalties to lift that trophy. We were not great but we were clearly improving under her and we had a clear pattern of play. Btw her team also was not active leading to that tournament.

Thank you... Even commentators said it. Even if we dont need them to justify that.

we once had two or so in the National team too.

Some people here hide with the veil of analysis to display their hatred. It is as simple as that. Some have even come out to show their hatred without their analysis veil. At the end, I wonder what is their gain because I wonder the joy in seeing someone fail.

However, unless those who are new to football will know that sometimes players have poor runs to grow. Even a player like Tevez faced challenges before he soared. Same with Forlan and Riquelme.

So dancing in someone's travails will always feel puzzling to me.

As for me, I wish and pray for the best for every player. Even those who are not Nigerians.
Well said!! bravo!!

Inference matters alot. But few of them know that.

Personally, i feel the team is too bent on attack. Most of these equalizers are from the centre of our defence, with defenders no where to be found most times.

These defenders need to built up confidence and positional awareness.

Mind you the word is "talent" and I didn't compare them to West Africa as a whole. When I say players from West Africa I mean the individual power Houses.

Egyptian players are not as talented as players from Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Ghana. Where are talents identified? At youth level. What the Egyptians have going for them is their developed league. And this has its own positive effects on the development of their players which is why they can easily set up a formidable National team with home based players.

It has always been as clear as crystal my dear. There was no way a player that struggles to trap a ball would last in the premier league. It's just impossible. It's time we faced the fact, the premier league is too high for Iheanacho. It has nothing to do with his team tactics, team mates or even his own discipline and work rate. He simply lacks the quality. Simple and short.

Maybe by next season when Brendan Rodgers finally demotes him permanently to the U-23's (where his playing time will still not be guaranteed), he will finally make his dream move to China to make as much pension money as possible before he starts getting benched there too. grin.

It is most likely that u didn't watch Super Falcons of the late 90s to 2000s era play.

The only player on that your list that stands a chance is Azizat Oshoala I may also add Onome Ebi.

I must tell u the quality of players has dropped. Then were the days when as the Super Falcons were exchanging passes and initing attacks the crowd would be cheering ceaslesly.

Do u know that in 2003 Nigeria presented 2 Super Falcons teams? One went to the All African Games and won Gold while the other went to the World Women's Championship.

Can u split this current team that way? They even in their full strength could not win the last AAG. They didn't even qualify for the last Olympics.

If you are opportuned please watch some of the games of the Falcons of the old. We should not even be arguing this.

I think its time the oldies start to think of stepping down. Unlike the men at that age, these ladies have less speed and aerial strength.

Our defence will be facing young strikers in our group games and i just hope they dont use speed to beat them.

The attack is top for me. Ohale came from u20. since then we never hear much aspa younger defenders coming up.

I don't know why we are getting sentimental because it's Iheanacho. If I were criticizing Morata or Lukaku or even Ighalo, majority of people here would have no issues with it. Can't we be unbiased for once?.

Anyways, mark my words, and bookmark this post, Iheanacho will be in China very soon. You know this, I know this, so let's stop pretending. It's no use sugarcoating he truth. Let's just pray to the God of soccer to provide us with new striking options (preferably FB's playing under thier real ages), but as for Iheanacho, I'm afraid there's no hope.

It is comment like this that often stir up bad blood on this thread.

Please let's be factual and do our analysis without ethnic sentiments.

I don't care about where the bulk of the players are from cos that is not important. Now talking about their ages, the team is a mixture of youth and experience. In women's Football players get better with age. A large percentage of those players are products of our U20 teams from 2011 to 2017. That means they are mostly in their 20s.

And to ur last sentence, nothing like seggregation. The coach chooses who we wants to include in his team. Thank God the coach is a Swede and not a Nigerian.

Goalkeeper Dialy Kobaly Ndiaye gets rewarded by Cisse for his impressive performance at the recent Under 20 Africa Cup of Nations in Niger where he conceded only 3 goals and was named in the tournament's best eleven.

Krepin Diatta 19, of Belgium giants Brugge, Sada Thioub from the ligue1 , and Mamadou Loum Ndiaye, a CM by trade, who just joined Portuguese giants FC Porto from Braga complete the list of young tantalising lions called up for the first time, I o prosecute the dead rubber match against Madagascar.

The ones you call the Oldies are the back bones of that team. Take them out and that team will crumble. Not as if their are many quality young players coming from the youth teams. Rashidat Ajibade and Anam imoh that were included in the last AWC team what were their impact?

Generally the standard of the women game in Nigeria has gone down.
