@GboyegaD thanks for your response but my take is this--
D admission for fall 2019 is a certificate course while the one for winter 2020 is a masters degree (which is what I want)... The admission for fall 2019 is out already pending visa processing but the one for winter 2020 is yet to come out... In a case the visa goes through for the certificate course and the admission for winter 2020 comes out... My reason for asking...
Kindly advice. Thank you

It is difficult to advise since they are two different programs and their weights differ. When do you expect to know the outcome of the Masters admission?

Gurus in the how please I need clarification

...just for a vouch in character, an "Introductory Letter of Employment" is essential not only for visa or admission(which is reference letter) but for almost all formal presentations. There is no harm adding it and more credibility to support your employment status.

How do you know where your application is being processed?

Paper route would be advised given to the same processing location whether online or paper route
which is presently Kenya. Why go through all the stress for online??

BTW my opinion but the preference is yours!

Are you insinuating that the online process is more stressful? If yes, please educate me on why it is more stressful than the paper route?

In as much rhe online route makes filing application easy in certain ways of document arrangement, the paper routes checklist is sagely advisable for every applicant to put together necessary documentations in filing an application.

BTW Kenya currently processes both online and paper app.

Respect!

I bet to disagree because the paper route allows people include junks such as parents birth certificate and other documents not necessary. The online route is based on an algorithm that is well tailored to ensure only necessary documents unique to each candidate are submitted.

please help @frankrobnn@GboyegaD@JustMellow! I was denied based on travel history, purpose of visit and insufficient fund in my refusal letter. So I decided to order my gcms notes before I reapply. I studied Comp Sc and I’m going for PGC in Info Tech Busnss Analysis. I paid just the tuition deposit which is not even up to a semester tuition fee and my sponsor deposited my living expenses into my account.

The online route is clearly better/faster than the paper route no?

I don't think that statistics still holds any valid exactness in its entirety, if you follow the current situation of how applications was processed last year(2018), paper application was Usain Bolt against an online Yourne Blake.

The paper route saw faster of both rejections and approval when put in comparison. The online application was fast in 2017 when Ghana handled paper applications.

My observations though!

Hi,
Please what are my chances of getting admission into a master's programme in Canada (UBC or University of New Foundland) with a CGPA of 3.45/5.

Everyone I've asked seems to suggest I won't be able to get MSc direct and that I have to do a PGD first.

Please is it feasible or should I not waste my time embarassed

You should want to know that there is "hope." An academic profile alone isn't a total criterion to secure a Master's admission whether research/course/thesis or project base programs. Its "not even" based on merits BUT several other factors left to the decision of the graduate committee/department.

Your CGPA isn't bad/weak, you stand a chance if you can present:

1. An intuitive and a well constructive Letter of Intent
2. Show good prowess of research or savvy ability to adapt to course work
3. Have a research work or a publication
4. Secure a supervisor(very important if its research)
5. Befriend the graduate secretary

BTW I have seen applicants with a CGPA slightly lower than yours getting funding and you even stand a better chance if you apply to many schools(some of Masters and colleges) if your available resources permits it.

Common, it doesn't matter which route is faster anymore cause Nairobi office has started handling the two routes for a study permit.

Moreover, My answer to this question is above... @justmellow latest post.
He/she said it all.

PS: unless they've changed it back to London, accra or Lagos... Then you comparison can continue

The time you sit to scan and compress in addition to the funds spent in doing it given that same processing office which is Kenya now handle both route, so why the stress??

After going through this thread and reading from other sources; I believe every application is treated independently (that is why what works for you might not work for me), you can only use this thread to have an oversight of what's going on, and move on a safer path to approval.... On this thread I've seen under one week to 24weeks approval and also rejection.. So cheer up... You're covered...

So the paper application submitted at VFS is sent to Kenya? So why is the online more expensive

Mr @JustMellow, does the getting requested for and passing medical not guarantee an approval?

Thank you.

You should want to know that study application pattern has slightly witnessed certain changes. An applicant now has to go the extra mile to present docunents that well evidently backs every crucial claims and more.

This has been evidently witnessed in recent times. I will still advise any prospective applicant to use the paper checklist to gather the required documents even if the online route is a prefer choice

Its just like asking a dealer why is a Bentley more expensive than a Venza, are they not same means of transportation?

I guess maybe its due to the pace and patronage.

No longer a guarantee unlike in the erstwhile when applicants gets full assurance of approval after medicals dropped and passed.

But this is a mere speculation based on presumptions because this VOs are totally not predictable, they can confuse person for Africa, your case might be different

why do they like us going through the stress of waiting for Gcms note..this small descriptions could have been written on the refusal letter... anyways it's always good to order Gcms anytime one z rejected (what so ever reason).. could it be because of tuition??

If you were a Visa officer do you want to see the birth certificates when the applicants already listed the siblings in the family information.information form? Some documents changed nothing and only makes the works of the VO tedious. In some cases, it overwhelms.
