Asapant: Haven't you receive an acceptance letter from the school until now? I have known your moniker for over a long time. I hope you get admitted soon. |

makano: Makano the action man! I am totally perplex to why the applicant couldn't revert back to the thread with an update from the consulate. If we all should follow this method, I don't think this platform would be in the position it is at this time. Well, one of the most valuable and widely approved as such realisations in life is that at the end of the day, everyone is responsible for their actions. Hence, I wouldn't force it. I am doing great brother. I hope you're fine and making progress too? Stay safe bro. |

Hi everyone, Please I have a quick question to ask regarding proof of financial capacity; My sponsor has the bulk of her money across different liquid investments (ranging from a Eurobond mutual fund (domiciled in USD) to investments in stocks. There is barely any money in her bank account apart from money used to run basic day-to-day expenses. Is she expected to liquidate her investments ahead of my application for a study permit? P.S. Mutual funds take at most T+2 days to liquidate while stocks can be liquidated as soon as one is able to sell the shares they have. |

itisco: You're almost done (400level), why quit your studies now? My advice is that you finish up your degree in Nigeria and further your master's abroad. You might end up regretting this should you dump your studies here in Nigeria for a Canadian education. Reasons being that the Canadian study visa is a gamble, time consuming and there is never a guarantee that you will get it once you apply. 1 Like |

DMerciful: Thanks I called and got it rectified that same day It was an oversight on their part not to send in d results on time. N/B: For hopefuls, if ur medical result does not reflect within 3-4 days please call the medical center customer care for clarification, no one is above mistakes or omissions. Peace |

Hello, Please if a Nigerian student has a USA visa and decides to travel to USA to apply via paper route from USA because of the shorter processing time, will it be accepted as legal? Naijaforeigner: |

makano: lol, I dey tell you. I posted something about having issues with my study permit on this forum in January, you wont believe about 3 people already in Canada on this forum contacted me via mail to tell me they have similar issues, asking me how did I sort it out and I am like why did you not say it here so that others coming to Canada can learn and avoid it? If there is any information that can help people before you leave Nigeria and when you get to Canada, drop it here as you cannot tell who you would be helping with such information. Jobs, accommodation, studies, just drop it here. Everyone is busy, Education in Canada is demanding, i hardly respond to mails because i have a lot to do but we can always drop helpful information openly once in a while and move on. 6 Likes |

nija4us: You can only apply in usa if you are a resident there (srtudent visa, Permanent residence, work permit and so forth). You cannot apply for canada TRV application in USA or any other country while on a visitor visa. |

Hello brothers and sisters, Please if a Nigerian student has a USA visa and decides to travel to USA to apply via paper route from USA because of the shorter processing time, will it be accepted as legal? Or you will be asked to back cos you're just a visitor and not a usa resident. |

Naijaforeigner: I must commend you for the wonderful job you've been doing on this platform. You're one of the few persons currently studying in Canada that creates out time even in your busy schedule to respond to queries pasted here and assist new bies in achieving theirs. Keep it up bro! 2 Likes |

nija4us: If you don't have a legal status in the US (Valid work permit, permanent resident, citizenship or study visa). You're expected to return back to your home country and apply for your Canadian study permit. Failure to do so, your application will be accessed based on your Immigration status in country of residence and your ties to US instead of your home country, which will be considered weak. |

itisco: Let me reiterate, please finish your law degree. Even if your results are bad or you dont like the course again, just finish it. A bird in hand ... What do you mean by sponsoring yourself? You mean your parents? I wish you all the best |

You can imagine... Yeah, everyone is busy but nobody in this world can tell me he or she is busy 24/7, its not possible. I am also very busy here in Nigeria, cos my work is so demanding(Am a Software developer) but in my free time I still find time to read and help with solutions to some issues here that I can be of help.. So ma point is that no matter how any person can be busy, if he or she really wanna help, he will find time to help.. Am sure you are also a busy person in Canada, but I see ur posts more often here.. I cant imagine myself getting to Canada and not help on this thread cos I know most of what I know are gotten from this thread and my personal research, so I will def wanna give back. So busy isn't an excuse for me tho, they just dont wanna help.. Period. Naijaforeigner: |

Frankrobbn1: You guys are really cool on here. I had to sit back and think about my decision. I've actually never wanted to school here but some things didn't come through and I ended up in OAU. I guess I will have to just go for masters instead of starting all over again. I really appreciate y'all!!! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 8:39pm On Mar 09, 2019 |
itisco: I am glad you heed to my advice. You can start now by working hard towards graduating with a good CGPA so you can be able to secure a Master's admission for yourself when the time comes. I wish you the very best in your academics. |

Naijaforeigner: Thanks dear. Financially, I can use my parents as the alibi but the money is from me. I understand it'll raise a lot of questions considering the age so I figured how to go about avoiding those. |
