makano: Guy, how did u know wat I have been thinking...I have tot about this, prayed over it..came to this exact conclusion..if they want to deny you, they would have done it since but yet it's still running..my own friend that told me about canada, applied early Feb got denied withing 2weeks...i just told myself to calm down and watch God do HIS work..this visa is yours...My sisters have told me bro, this visa will show...it's already obvious they can't deny u, just delaying the inevitable which is an approval...to me I just see this as a test from God to make me show more commitment to HIM and I will... My advice to my fellow comrades is, be strong, think less about it..do wat u feel u can do and leave the rest to God Almighty.. I miss the good days of part 14...where every week had larger number of approvals than denials..Makano I hail you bro...the approval is ours 3 Likes 1 Share |

Johnsonkelvin: Include the birth certificate of your siblings. Also, your sponsor (father) should list out the number of his dependants because this gives a clearer view about his family composition. Father should further state in his letter of sponsorship that sponsoring you will not be a burden to the family, business and personal welfare. 1 Like |

What of half-siblings? are we also supposed to include their birth certificates? Also, in the case that two of a PA's half-sibling immigrated (one to the US and one to the UK - based on marrying citizens), does it weaken home ties and how does one need to address this? Frankrobbn1: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 8:23pm On Mar 14, 2019 |
sillysassysally: It's not compulsory to include their birth certificates (half-siblings). Either way if it's available you can. I know of someone whose half of her family lives in Canada and still secured her TRV. Thus, It doesn't weaken the PA's application on the account that PA's half-siblings reside abroad. As long as PA can demonstrate sufficient ties to their home country that can motivate their departure after visit, that wouldn't be an issue. Significant ties can include PA's other close family members who live in their home country (aged parents, spouse, kids and immediate siblings), current employment as well as good prospects for future employment in PA's country, ownership of an active business, and ownership of property or other assets in PA's home country. 1 Like |

Hello Everyone. I came back here to encourage someone especially May/June/July 2018 applicants. I'm of the opinion that all these applicants should have patient with the London Visa Office provided your application is confirmed to be treated there. My reasons; I also submitted SOWP and TRV application for my wife and daughter respectively on the 15th of May, 2018 precisely. Because I'm here in Canada, I was able to use 2 MP's office to make enquiries for our application after 7 months of no update nor replies from CIC both in Lagos and London. Applied for 2 GCMS note in October and December last year and no updates of any sort on the note except many emails and enquiries sent to them. Our Findings: London Visa office is overwhelmed with so much applications especially from Nigerian, because as @ 2018 Jan - July thereabout, most of the online route application were all transmitted to London office, coupled with PR applications, study permits, visitor visa and many other things Dont be surprise, This was the information given to us after 9 months in Feb 2019. Many applications from last year are still on queue for eligibility review either primary or secondary review. My Message: Last week after 10 months of waiting, we got PPr for my wife and Daughter. a friend also got SP approved after 10 months. so, TRV hopeful as the name sound so you should be. please if London have not updated you, I bet you it will be approval. if they are gonna deny you, it will have happened before now. Just to encourage you guys from last year MAY/JUNE/JULY 2018. A big thanks to Frankrobbn1. God bless you bro. 9 Likes 1 Share |

itisco: Uncle/madam, Please finish the one you are doing at the moment ooo. Don't let the dream of studying abroad deviate you as a bird at hand is worth more than 10 in the bush. I would suggest while you wrap up your studies, you put in plans to do whatever it is you plan on doing in Canada. Starting all over shouldn't make you discard four years of higher education no matter what. Just my thoughts though. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Benwems: No vast working experience! You can still try Newfoundland you might be considered for admission once your SOP is very persuasive along with a well detailed references from your previous academics. Unfortunately, I don't have any other alternative for now. |

Frankrobbn1:Thanks a lot. I also heard most universities in Canada don’t offer Post Graduate Diploma. It is colleges that do PGD. How true is this? Thanks 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 11:52pm On Mar 14, 2019 |
Benwems: Not true! It depends on your field of study. Some universites in Canada do offer PGD. Generally, colleges offer numerous PGD programs than universites. What's your field of interest? I could possibly play around with my internet. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 12:03am On Mar 15, 2019 |
Benwems: They do, and it depends on your field of study. lemme help you with some of the universities that offers pgd Trent university University of the Fraser valley University of Alberta University of Waterloo Dalhousie university University of Guelph University of Saskatchewan Kwantlen polytechnic university Do your research about the schools and for more schools. 5 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Benwems(m): 12:22am On Mar 15, 2019 |
Frankrobbn1:For PGD I would prefer Mechanical Engineering but for direct masters I would go for electrical engineering. I studied Electrical Engineering. I know no University would allow me do Masters in mechanical when I studied electrical without doing a PGD first. Thanks a lot for been of help. |

@Frankrobbn1 and other Seniors... Thanks for being so supportive on this group. My First application was done by an agent last year, as at then i have no clue that i can do it myself. The application was refused, ordered for GCMS and the attached was the reason. Now, i am ready to re-apply. He used my email address for the first application. My question is, will i used the same email to create a new account for this second application or I need to use a new email account? waiting for response and help.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by henry15(m): 3:08am On Mar 15, 2019 |
Benwems: I think most engineering courses are flexible, besides there is a good link between electrical and mechanical, depending on the area of specialization I think you might likely get admission in mechanical engineering too. Except the challenge is on result bases. But just know electrical can switch to mechanical During M.Eng without need for PGD |
