REMINDER TO ALL MEMBERS

This thread is Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alert. However, l have observed for sometime now that anyone who suggest and portray a stock positively due to one reason or the other(TA, FA or even DA) is either regarded as a monkey hunter or a marketer despite the fact that we continually hold that everyone is the manager of his/her portfolio and that Due Diligence MUST be observed . This trend is dangerous and capable of derailing this thread. Before someone talks about a stock, he must have seen something positive about the stock and may have bought such stock, hence I do not see any reason castigating that person, except the reasons are constructive enough. Albeit, those same people never offer alternative stock to buy rather they mock down those that were picked by others.

What I used to see before now is constructive criticisms of stocks and not the other way around. Little wonder, we are gradually losing reputable analysts on the forum but adding only those that will come and start disrupting the forum with irrelevant issues. Good luck to all.

He may be referring to my post on ChiBuKing.

ChibuKing said we shouldn't buy UBA when it traded below N7, that it will still fall much more lower to N4 and below. Only for Chibuking to buy at above N7.70 and has been preaching about same stock, telling us 50% upside. What has changed in UBA? If that's not monkey hunting, I guess I don't know the meaning of Monkey Hunting.

He might be talking generally about a recent trend of people not giving stock suggestions but criticizing other people ideas. This makes people refrain from giving stocks suggestions which defeats the purpose of this thread.

Personally I would love a situation where if you think a stock pick is shitty, kindly give a better pick let us compare the performance of the shitty idea with your better pick.

I think they can. Remember the dilution involves 6billion additional units. That should lift their OS to about 35billion same with UBA, FBNH etc. If they do well in 2019 they should match that EPS.

I am in UBA as well and equally thinking like you, not because UBA cannot give good dividend but the fact that the market is unforgiving now as stocks keep falling due to paucity of funds from our foreign brothers with hot money (according to onegentleguy). UBA paid 85k dividend last year and I am sure they can equaled it, even if they can not do better.

When will this market rise again? Everything seems to be going down. Technical analysts to the rescue.


This is certainly Buhari's effect at work.
If the election had gone the other way, I am sure the market would have had an upward surge.

That is his/her stock pick, probably from DA or SA (Dream Analysis or Sentimental Analysis). Let market decide if he is right or wrong or just come with reasons why someone should not buy such stock, chikena. At times, market may even prove one wrong even with all your TA and FA. Diamond Bank and recently, Dangote Flour are typical examples of that.

we are in the process of wealth transfer for the smart guys, it cant be like this for 4yrs.

Many heavy weights are waiting for release of result to sell off their remaining holdings. They need an attraction that will cushion their load.

My take though. Could be wrong.

I hope FCMB will not come with their traditional 10k dividend. That will spoil market the more.

This 2019 might turn out to be a year to remember......
