I met this friend recently (a girl actually) on a WhatsApp group chat. It was 1am and I was bored by what I was doing so I started replying to the messages in the group chat. This girl replied too and I jokingly asked her why she was still awake at that time, she didn't seem so comfortable to answer the question in the group chat so we went private.

She explained that for over 5 years now she doesn't sleep at night. I was moved cos I'm the type that value sleep a lot.

Please what can she do to start sleeping again? According to her, she has taken so many medications yet to no avail. What could be a lasting solution to this.

She is not my girlfriend please, I'm just concerned and trying to help

I battle this shit for a while.... I didn't use drug nor do anything special and it stopped

First.. I put off phone by 10pm and i make sure i don't put on any light before that time so has to have sleepy eyes

Secondly i try to wee before i sleep because once i wake up around 2-3am to week i wont sleep till morning

Thirdly if i mistakenly wake up midnight i control my mind not to think at all... Because most time it start with thinking unnecessary stuff n boom... U won't av sleepy eyes again

Fourth.... I don't take coffe and some certain tea at night... I won't sleep all night

I can go on and on.. But these are the basics stuff i work on and made habit and everything is fine..

Ps if she changes location she wil sleep better again in a new place... If this will be possible for her she shld change where she stays for few months then come back.
