Approval Alert Submitted app 30th December Medical Request 23rd February Medical passed 11th March PPR and Correspondence letter 19 March Sent them a CSE yesterday and early this morning i got the mail. See, there was a moniker here that said it's luck and there's no God after getting his PPR. I don't know where he is now but I want him to know it's not luck. There's an Almighty God, a living God. He answers prayers. Thank you so much Frankrobben, God go do your own. And to all TRV hopefuls, God will answer everyone. There's something I used to do since I got my scholarship, any aeroplane I see, i always decree and declare that I will be in such a plane a month to my resumption . That was my method of faith for over a year now. Glory to God Almighty once more. 29 Likes |

U are lucky tho, I called them January and I was given April.. Urs is just 2 months.. If you can have patience for over 7 months for ur TRV, then waiting for this shouldnt be a problem.. And if ur medical request comes before then, u would def do it before ur appointment date of may.. Cos they give priority to applicants with Medical Request.. 042viber12: |

so i have been following this thread, and i have a few questions. I have a Masters in Public health, and i want to go for the accelerated bsc in nursing (2years), probably in univeristy of calgary or u of alberta. has anyone applied for this program? is anyone currently enrolled in this program, what is it like, can you work with the program? how did you go about the prerequisite courses? is there any online resource where i can do the prerequisite courses prior to admission? what are my chances of getting admission? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by TheAfrikan: 1:06pm On Mar 19, 2019 |
042viber12: Okay. I think it's because of the number of people. If it's requested medicals, they'll bring the date backwards. |

yemilasko: Not paying your tuition fees isn't enough reason for the CBSA to deny you an entry because they're aware the VO on behalf of the IRCC has scrutinized your student application but notwithstanding, such question is often asked at the port of entry on formality based. You might not even be asked but in case its reversed: just tell them you were instructed not to pay for your tuition fees until prior to the registration of your courses. Just go along with your stamped international passport and letter of admission, correspondence letter, tuition fees receipt(if applicable) conveyed in an handbag or were it could be easily accessed. The questions they often ask are elementary, so no need to panic just don't show fear and anxiety but be bold. It isn't rigid as thought except on case of discrepancies. yemilasko: Make available a letter of consent/agreement(this must convey his full contact address and phone number plus other vital information after addressing in awareness of such travel arrangement, the destination etc) from your spouse, stamped international passport, lecture her to answer questions about her both parents etc. This is mostly done for minors to combat child trafficking. This will suffice! 2 Likes |

wolex2090: They will always find out due to the info sharing between the two country. You can be honest by declaring sure info in your SOP/LOE and do well to include your birth certificate/addressed letter by your parents(it can also be assumed that your parents can lie to cover up so to this effect....) you can do a newspaper publication about your real age and attach it. |

DonCaesar91: Its sagely to not apply with such bank statement. Properties does not amount to "proof of funds" rather they show more credible "hometies." The VOs believe so much of liquidated funds. In assessing such bank statement, the VO 'would' view it from the angle of "family composition and the probability of funds to be available for the subsequent year of your studies." This calls for insufficient funds. This assertion is open for contention: even if you've managed to pay for your first semester tuition fees and have your first year living expenses at your disposal, the probability of an approval is slim and not guaranteed except only on the intervention of a supreme being as witnessed with some applications but this shouldn't be an excuse to do the right which is for your sponsor to at least build his account after your program expenses/funds has be safely secured aside or inside your bank account. Why did I say this? During an eligibility review, both the applicant and the sponsor are scrutinized which you might scale based on the aforesaid but in the aspect of your sponsor, it might deter the positive outcome. That's why in "certain" gcms notes, the VO often raise concern about a sponsor and family composition which subtly connects to the available funds after the intend sponsorship of your studies. BTW I am not saying its not feasible for you to get an approval as everything is solely dependent on Luck |

Dear Nairalander, I will like your advise on my application, here is my profile: Early last year I gained admission into cenetennial college, program: Food science technology Fast-Track (It is a 2year program) In May 2018, I applied for student visa and I was denied June 4th 2018. Reason for denial; Purpose of Visit, Current employment status and Personal assets and financial Status. As at then I was a corper and therefore was serving as a teacher in a government school. I showed evidence that I was serving so I guess it was a red flag cos getting the visa meant I will ignore my Nysc and travel. Anyways I decided to complete my NySC before applying. So in November I completed my Nysc, I traveled to London, returned in November, traveled to France in January, returned in Feburary. However after my service, I decided to work in my Dad's company as a project manager since I couldnt seem to secure a job as a food technologist in Nigeria, whilst working with him, i realised I actually liked working as a project manager and I will like to be certified in Management and I can even take over from him when he retires. And so I wrote to the school and Change my program from Food science to Global business management(Please bear in mind that My BSC is in Genetics and Biotech which is related to food science but not related to Global business management). Now I want to reapply for the visa, do you me changing my course will negatively affect the outcome?, also I have heard that the embassy dose not regard admission from colleges how true is this? Because my course is a PostGraduate Certificate program. ALso in reapplying , what do I say in response to the VO's conclusion? do I reply the denial letter and also submit a statment of purpose letter? or are they one and the same? Thanks awaiting your response |
