We can still qualify if the coach can do the needful before the return leg

Fine we lost. But for those who saw the game, any positives to pick from the game? Which player impressed and which player or players were found wanting?

And I think we played 10 against 11 as well which makes it even more difficult with the red card.

A home based defence that can't defend against Libya U-23

Sad how our local league has regressed

Azubuike and Nwakali did not protect the defense.

Too bad we lost 2:0. That red card definitely affected the team's come back.

The U23 and SE coaches need to restrategise.

Please Rohr should release Osimhen, Onyekuru and Awaziem for the U23 game. We have capable replacements for them in the SE. In fact they are not even starters. They can rejoin the SE with the Egypt friendly. The Seychelles game is not important.

We need to score 3 unreplied goals against this highly defensive Libyan side and so we need to get our attacking machinery in place. I need that Chukwueze, Osimhen and Onyekuru front line. angry

No protection from counters. Too easy to catch them napping on counters.

Poor from the midfield.

You got a point there sha. It would be a mistake to take any team for granted in this day and age.

But I am still ambivalent because I think we're missing a huge opportunity to test our fringe players before the AFCON. I mean, we can still organize friendly matches test these players but it's really not the same as having them play in a full fledged game.

O pari

This U23 qualfiers is more important than that Seychelles game and Egypt friendly put together. They should prioritise and send all the SE players who are Under the age of 23 to go join the Olympics team.

Only one training session before the match..

Hopefully, they are able to get better prepared for the return leg.

Yeah and it showed and they should re-enlist Michael, Okonkwo and Okeleke who were left out for the first leg. All hands must be on deck now. Rohr Should also release Onyekuru, Awaziem and Osimhen to go join them.

They should jet back to the country tonight and commence preparations tomorrow. The return game is on Monday. That is good enough time to prepare the team.

I believe we will qualify.

To be honest it was difficult differentiating the players most of the time. Cos for me I watched it on a mobile phone. The only player that really stood out in terms of appearance was that ChrisKels' Ivorian boi grin. It was an amerture video and was blured most of the time.

That game will likely be on YouTube in the next 48 hours. I trust the Arabs when it comes to that especially as they won

I will need to watch the game again if available.

O boy this is football. Stop with the unfounded blame game. It's not like the score was 4-3, nobody showed up. U win as a team and lose as one.

I agree Awaziem should be deployed. I also think we need to really identify the problem areas in the team, besides the defense was the midfield effective? If we have a defense and midfield issue throwing Osimhen and Onyekuru may not help the team.

Both players couldn't save their countries in the WC sef. With how good Messi is, he never win any senior tournament with Argentina.
Like we all know football is a team game finish. Super talents help but at the end you are as strong as your weakest link. Football no be lawn tennis.
