ay10yahoocom:I was also offered admission. I received a mail yesterday notifying me of the award of 30% Dean's scholarship ( I guess it's 30% of the tuition fees). Not really interested in the school. |

Pls guys, I was denied visa last year December. I want to book an appointment for April, but when filling the appointment form there's a part that says if you have being previously denied within the last two months. Do I fit into this category? Secondly, can I go to the embassy with scanned financial documents from my sponsor? |

brainy02: You cannot defer your admission after you travelled (you have to leave or fall out of status ) but you can defer it before you travel on F1 visa . If you were previously issued a visa, you can use this visa for a later date, as long as your visa has not expired....... You would need to get an updated I20 and also be prepared to explain why you defered if you are asked At POE. 1 Like |

Addy9: No this is not allowed. The closest person is Cotonu in Benin republic . Alternatively find someone in the US who can do it and swap currency 1 Like |

Miaanita: Why are you always writing in bold. Do you think we wont see it except it is bold Congrats ........ If i were you , i would still go with a bank statement and have a sponsor as well (perhalps a parent). Doesnt have to be billions in the account . Just incase the VO ask who going to cover the inital cost before the RA kicks in . 5 Likes |

Abdulrahmon68: If it is bank statement from a Nigerian bank then i would say go with only original. If its an outside nigerian bank statement then that can be explained why you have the scanned document 1 Like |

Guys an i20 with 49k usd as estimate. What do you guys think? Is it a lot. Please note I have no funding. I am wondering who has had any success presenting such an expensive i20 to the embassy? I really don't want the embassy thinking its too expensive. I am seeing people here who have i20 of 20 something and early 30 something k dollars. But this is a really good school I would like to go to. |

Abdulrahmon68: i personally see no issue with you travelling within Nigeria . If it to go saturday come back sunday .......but that me . the scanned copy , isnt it the same way it is gotten from the bank that he would give to you . There were a couple of administrative processing last session , so if it was me i will definitely go with original bank statements . Yes sometimes they dont ask and sometimes they ask so it based on the risk you are willing to take |
