Wes is faster than Ices but you will have to evaluate your waec also which will add more cost...Ices on the other hand is kind of slow but you won't need the waec ish,If you are not in hurry, you can go for Ices...it depends on you on which one you want to use.

Ok, what is making me weak is wes having to contact the school to verify everything they send. I'm scared of the mental drain.

Hello house,

I’m currently applying for a UK police clearance certificate online but the transaction keeps declining in the end, I’m not sure what the issue is because I have tried different bank cards.

Does anybody have a similar experience or know a way out of this besides the post option? Kindly assist me

Get someone based in the UK to apply for you. Every card you try to pay with will be declined.

I can imagine.

Relax, bro. I'm sure you're not the first to use WES services in your school. Most schools are already used to WES verification mail. But you're right, they might still want you to drop something (though my own schools -both BSc and Msc- responded almost immediately without I having to contact them). If you have, just give them and move on. All those things are just distractions from the end goal.

Try and remark that 6.5, or if it's too late already, then write a new test. Anything less than 8777 won't give you enough CRS to get ITA
Okay, the 6.5 is writing

Good day all,

I am finally taking the big step. Thanks to everyone who has contributed here.

About me
I will be 37years old in 3weeks time. I have a BA degree and soon a Masters from NOUN. I have 10 years banking operations experience and I presently work with a Federal govt parastatal
I am married and have a child but my husband is not willing to relocate yet.

Now my questions,
1. What are my chances, and what steps/process should I follow
2.Can my sister who is widowed and has 3 children accompany me as a dependant? If yes what is the process/requirement?

Thank you

I want to say a big congratulations to you...

It has indeed ended in praise.

God has compensated you for the long pre-ITA wait and IELTS delays with a very short post AOR timeline.

Wow! This is the real definition of Express Entry. It was barely 2-3 months.

Well, I will say that you have done justice to this script and deserve to be acknowledged. I will rate you 8.99/10.

Thank you for sharing your detailed PPR script with us.

I am sure many people will learn from the details in it.

Go and prosper!

God bless you!!

Congratulations Babes and thanks for the words of encouragement.

Waiting for PPR (the golden mail) is a roller coaster of emotions. One time you tell yourself you won’t check your profile and before long you’ve checked it. You say to yourself, if only I’d just have meds passed I’d be calm…but that’s a lie because once meds are passed you think of the next thing to worry about such as application being cancelled, what visa office has your application been sent to? Exchange rate fluctuations, will they consider my pension funds? Did I pick the right NOC code? You pray to get to IP2, you tell yourself that once you move to IP2 atleast you know your file has been picked up. Then you research again to know what exactly goes on during Ip2- something you thought you knew. And then you see different comments online about security screening and then you begin to doubt again. You get ghost update and say okay, perhaps they have remembered me this time for good. But then you go on to google – a friend who has stood by you through the trying times of waiting…you search again to know how many days from IP2-ghost update-PPR? Whew…this process is one hell of a ride my people and it’s with Jesus joy I announce to you all that it’s PPR/COPR!!!

I’d like to thank everyone on Nairaland who has contributed immensely in helping me get to this point. I’ve been an avid silent reader howbeit coming out once in a while to seek clarity.

Decision to pursue Canadian PR was in January 2018 after my best friend and her boyfriend-now husband came visiting. Her husband had gotten ITA and my husband and I encouraged him to decline the ITA, do a court wedding and apply together (Thankfully they had a good enough CRS score and are now settled in Canada). After they left our home that day we decided to give this a shot.

Here’s my timeline;
Decision to travel: January 2018

ECA: March 13th 2018 (I used WES)

IELTS: March 24th 2018- LRSW: 8.5, 8.5, 7.5, 7 (I wrote IELTS when I was 37 weeks pregnant. I recall how I would constantly speak to my baby to please hold on till after IELTS. Needless to say our baby took his sweet time)

CRS Score: 461

EE Profile submitted: April 9th 2018

ITA: April 11th 2018

AOR: June 27th 2018 (The hustle for PoF and baby’s passport made submission linger till June 2018)

Meds Passed: July 12th 2018

IP1: June 13th 2018

IP2: October 30th 2018

PPR: February 26th 2018 (dated 25th March 2019)

Passport Submitted: Feb 27th 2019

Application Approved: March 13th 2019

COPR: March 19th 2019

Visa Office:
Ottawa

Family composition: Family of 3

POF: We used 100% treasury bills- over 50% of it was gift deed from my mum. I also included my pension funds statement, bank reference letter, and treasury bills certificate. I didn’t include bank statement-just the page where I received the gift deed transfer and highlighted it. I included a screenshot of Oanda rate for the day and a table showing breakdown of funds. I must add that I got virtually everything from this forum, from reference letter format both for employment and POF, to POF breakdown table. You all are doing a fantastic job and I really wish everyone directed to page 1 wouldn’t take offence because it is a goldmine I tell you. I even followed this thread daily including after delivery while still at the hospital….lol

Reference letter: I got reference letter from my line manager which was typed on the company’s letterhead. I also included my employment and promotion letter as well as 6 months’ payslips.

LOE: I only included a two sentence Letter Of Explanation attaching my husband’s IELTS. My husband wrote his Ielts in 2017

Travel History: Moderate.

GCMS: I applied on September 18th 2018, the notes never came sad came 70 days after (No concerns raised). I raised another on February 8th 2019, yet to receive it.

CSE: I raised several CSEs and got ‘Matthewed’ every time. I called as many times as I could because a lot of decisions were riding on the outcome of our application. I recall Feb 21st, I had a dream where it what appeared to be left on our application was just a signature…I could see the place where the signature was needed. I woke up and hubby and I prayed not really raising our hopes but praying all the same. Only for me to get to the office that morning, I received a CSE response saying my application requires ‘additional verifications’ (I tell you, the additional verifications part was in bold)…I was worried. I called them the following day, which was a Friday, they said ‘security not started’- same thing they’d been saying since I entered IP2. I was just weak. Sunday night/Monday morning, I had a dream again…this time I saw my mum, hubby and I seriously packing our stuffs…Infact I could even see the airline we were to go with. Toor…I woke up…gisted hubby again and we prayed as usual…abi what else will we do na. Anyways, Tuesday morning on my way to work, I checked my whatsapp and saw @19cannymum’s message that PPR had landed and I should check my mail…people of God, that’s how your girl checked o…and I saw the mail…the mail that we had been hoping we’d receive someday…that’s how I shouted to hubby… ‘Dear…park the car’. The guy was like ‘it has come abi?’. Anyways, I kissed my son on his forehead and said ‘We get to give you a better life.’

As I wrap up, I’d like to drop a few pointers on how I think I coped initially: I became an analyst! Moving from one site to another analysing trends, from immitracker to Canadavisa, to quora, Nairaland, facebook, Instagram, youtube…people of God what did I not analyse?! I did trend analysis from AOR to Meds passed, applicants’ progression to IP2 based on visa office, average number of days from IP2 to PPR based on visa office on Immitracker and Nigerians. Doing these put the edge off and made me relatively calm. You too can try it…you may come up with mere speculation or you might notice a pattern. Either ways, you’d feel like you’re doing something smiley. I must confess however that as the days to PPR stretched, my staying power waned- especially since IP2 to PPR took close to 4 months. I wasn’t keen on analysing or even hoping. I realized that I depended more on past trends than I did on God and I needed to shift my focus. I decided to spend more time waiting on God than relying on my own understanding. Bottomline is, not everyone will have a short timeline. If for some reason yours takes longer, know that there is something God seeks to teach you. Know that God isn’t causing you to wait out of spite, He is instead teaching you to trust His delays and not doubt His ways. Waiting doesn’t mean you heard God incorrectly about this Canada PR waka. Waiting doesn’t mean your desire isn’t the will of God. Waiting doesn’t mean you aren’t praying enough (many times we know in our hearts that God will do a thing, the problem is usually trying to convince our head to be in tune). Waiting also doesn’t mean you do not have enough faith.

E-fam, I hope you find the courage to give IELTS one more shot, I hope someone out there finds courage to push harder to get that ECA done with and I hope someone there finds the courage in my epistle to do all it takes to make this Canadian dream a reality because this my people is now my REALITY.

Finally, Thanks to @Tojued @19cannymum and @Ramj for being there when I needed to rant and for the constant check-ins. To everyone- thank you for keeping this thread alive. I wish everyone the very best. God bless!

Please overlook any grammatical errors…na beg I dey beg…IELTS is over…for now wink
