It is usually okay to use the fixed deposit certificate. When is the maturity date?

Good morning

Can the PA use gift deed from spouse (in personal account) and treasury bills certificate (in accompanying spouse name) as POF?

Thank you all for making me laugh hard yet think deeply about this process. Same here. I told myself two nights ago on the drive home that I have to concentrate on my job and justify my salary. This Canada waka has really taken up my mind. I think of all future plans with this in mind.

I am practicing IELTS Listening like crazy. I think I must have done close to 50 tests in the last one month (if that qualifies for much). I was on a local flight over the weekend, as I settled in my seat before take off I brought out my practice book. I then made to borrow a pen from my seat mate, she looked at my book, smiled and brought out and MOD/IDP branded pen cheesy cheesy. I just started laughing loudly (and my loud laugh no be here.
I believe this will be worth it and it will end well for me and for you all in Jesus name.

No you are not. Your actual NOC is 0124. Your title and JD are managerial positions.

NOC 1123 are for non-managerial positions in Corporate Comms (look below the NOC on the site, managerial positions are clearly excluded from the NOC).

What stage are you in your app? If its AOR, please raise a CSE asap and attach an LOE stating your mistake. If you are post-ITA but not AOR, I think an LOE would suffice. If you are pre-EE profile, perfect, good that you asked.

Read more here https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/entered-different-noc-by-mistake.573020/

Thank you very much. Although I wasnt working as a Manager at the time. I was reporting drirectly to the Sales & Marketing Manager.

When I went through the JD for 0124, it stated that only Managers like, Sales Managers, Marketing Managers fit this NOC, that was why I didn't pick it.

Please can others shed more light on this? sad
I'm Pre-ITA.

Trust me when I say you are not going to be telling them anything new, they knew that you were lying about the job way back then and that is probably why you didn't get your study Visa.
There must be something in the water they serve at these 'agencies', that blocks logical thinking. How else did you plan to explain that you were a lecturer when your highest qualification was ND. Even if the school is family owned.
Anyway, way forward;
1. fill all EE/e-Apr forms correctly.
2. Explain the truth in LOE and mention that you were misguided by a fraudulent agent.
3. Pray

Additional steps;
4. Find that agent and give him some slaps angry
5. Give yourself some too angry

Timeline

Ghost update 19th March 2019
PPR 22nd March 2019 dated 21st March.

That's pretty much my timeline, not a man of many words, so I'm sorry prof. I had a smooth ride up until the long wait from IP2 to PPR. Called IRCC several times, mailed Ottawa twice never got a response, raised CSE once and got a generic response.

Thanks to everyone here, this thread was my home after work from when I found it post ITA till now. Also big thanks to those that always help others here, please keep up the good work. I wish everyone waiting at one stage or the other good luck and speedy processing .

It has ended in praise. To God be the Glory.

Congratulations.. I am very happy for you. Please you said you called IRCC a couple of times and also ordered GCMS notes.
When you called them, did what they told you about your application tally with what was on your GCMS note?

I have called them a couple of times, I feel they are withholding information.

Good morning
A quick question please
Can the PA use gift deed from spouse (in personal account) and treasury bills certificate (in accompanying spouse name) as POF?

What do you mean by 'in personal account'? If the money is in your wife/husband's personal account all they'd need to do is provide their account statement, the treasury bill certificate and a letter stating the PA has unrestricted access to the funds and treasury bills for the POF. However if the money has already been transferred to the PA's account, the letter should suffice.

xtosync:
Hi there,
So the anti climax of this long almost two years ordeal is ending with a refusal due to incorrect NOC code. I applied with NOC code 0213 - Computer and Information System Manager.

This is what I should have done two years back, but I honestly thought I was on the right course. I am sharing so that it serves as a lesson to others getting into the process. Seek all the advice and counsel you can especially wherever you have doubts, even if it make you look or sound like a slowpoke.

In 2017, I spent more than a month confused about the actual NOC code for me. A first search on google for NOC code for cybercafe manager will pop out 0631 -Restaurant and Food service Managers. This is totally not what we are as cybercafe operators in general. so I spent quite a reasonable amount of time on the net and settled for NOC 0213 which had Computer and other related service manager as a sub in the title group. This seems more appropriate to me for my job title.

With description help from wonderful friends, the following are a basic summary of what I do:

Own and run a cybercafe
offer general computer services such as printing, scanning, typesetting
some software installation
sales of computers and its accessories etc
give basic computer lessons to customers/clients
have 2 employees
also offer computer related services to clients as per contracts to set up their cafe, computer units/rooms and logistics.

Over the years as owner and manager of the cybercafé the following are specific responsibilities and duties performed:

• Develop action plans and procedures for my team performance to meet operational goals and organizational objectives.

• Develop strategic and operational plans for managing, execution and measuring results of the cyber centre.

• Perform research on new business ventures and proactively identifies risks and opportunities for improvement of the business.

• Determine the budget and periodic expenditures of the business centre.

• Occasionally conduct meetings with clients to discuss system specs, performance, needs, costs and timelines.

• Execute contract jobs that involve procurement and supply of stationeries, computers and its peripherals

• Manage project teams of variable skill sets and size dependant on project scope.

• Hire, train and guide store employees in delivering excellent customer service.

• Assign rules and responsibilities to employees for operational effectiveness.

• Monitor and manage store staff/personnel by regularly communicating and conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve operational performance.

• Ensure that the office and environment is maintained according to proper sanitation and cleaning standards thereby making it safe and inviting for customers.

• Assist customers when they have trouble or questions using computer systems and application software

• Perform software installations, system maintenance, backups and networking, troubleshooting on office and clients computers.

• Provide services such as printing, scanning, internet, online registrations, downloading and other computer related operations.

• Ensure that machineries, computers and other equipments are in good working condition.

• Keep accurate records of system performance, logs and inventories of the business centre

• Set Administrative rights on computer systems, program tickets and number of minutes or hours customers use the computer or internet on networked computers.

• Banking and maintaining accounting databases by entering data using computer application software

• Preparing lesson notes for students, training and teaching student/clients on the use of computers and its applications.

• Ensure excellent customer care.

Went to interview in Accra and was told that I choose the wrong NOC.

So I want you guys to help me find the right NOC for someone that own and operate a cybercafe. Its quite heavy on me, I must confess, but I am taking it in like a man. Just incase I can reapply please someone should help me with the right NOC for a Cybercafe Manager/Owner.

5, 6, 7 or more heads are better than 1 or 2.

This is not the testimony I was hoping to drop after a year and 6 months wait, but a lesson for one is a lesson for many. Never too late to do the right thing. smiley

special thanks to Zutlin, Abubuyaya. You guys give me the courage to do this.
