Man United still got to another with Rooney leading the charge just two years later after Ronaldo left, the "quality" in Real Madrid were still picking their noses.

I do not agree mami. Before Ronaldo left for Madrid, we had a better squad than after he left. If he won just 1 UCL during that period, why do you think he will win more than the number he won at Madrid when the quality in our team reduced? During the three year period that Madrid won back to back UCL how was the quality of our squad? Madrid had the best squad in football during that period while we were struggling with 6th 5th 4th positions. Ronaldo was a very integral part of Madrid's UCL dominating team but please stop saying he singlehandedly gave them the UCL, he was only a piece, albeit a very important piece. Ronaldo's movement to Madrid was mutually beneficial to him and Madrid. Without him Madrid may not have had so much success but also he wouldn't have had so much success if he didn't move. Saying he would have gotten all he did and more with United is simply a lie.

He is good, but still has to prove it over time and in on the biggest stages.
He has had just 12 months of being in the eye of the storm so I am not so sure he deserves all the adulation he gets.

We didn't have a DOF during SAF's time.... Is that really the solution? Or we need actual soccer loving people at the helm of affairs. Woody and the Glazer guys are businessman and are in for the money side of things that the fame and identity of the club can bring. All other things are secondary.
Don't be surprised if we don't make any sensible purchases this summer.
