Mr Man she has done that, read through before u come here and command someone to share her own experience. And also to help people like u that are about applying, I will advise u put in some work and read through this thread from page 1 to this present page. After doing so u would have acquired so much knowledge of this Canada study permit application. Peace opeyusuf: 1 Like |

Congrats to all approved PEPs, hmmmmm seems just the online applications are getting quick responses. Quick question, I always log into my CIC account daily to check for updates(paper then linked) is that necessary or will I get a mail to go and check when ever I get any update on the CIC site?? 2 Likes |

Omonoba1981: When are you meant to start classes...if it's May, I suggest u do an upfront medicals..if it's September, I still suggest u do upfront medicals...I just realised people who are getting approvals now are people their classes resumes May Examples are @2roodi and @sleekysoft...Possibly if u are September..i presume,u won't be getting an update now...till probably from April....these are assumptions though |

Good afternoon everyone, I am very new on this platform and i hope i am doing this correctly. I need help as regards my application. I have my acceptance letter from the University i applied to in Canada but i do not have enough funds personally to apply for the study permit. (Masters in Public administration and i currently work as an administrative assistant in a consulting firm) Though i have a family friend who is willing to help but i do not know how best to state as his relationship when he is writing the sponsorship letter. Also another challenge is that he is having about 8m in his account and the cost for my school, living and flight expenses is about 12m for 2 years. 1)do i look for additional account to use as a co-sponsor? 2)would he need to provide his CAC document since he is using his personal account and not the business account. Though for my tution i do not need to pay upfront as i pay per semester depending on the number of courses i register for. 3)Do i have to provide my own statement of account too as i do not have a sitting balance in it. 4)Or are there other means i can use to proof i have sufficient funds for my trip? Please kindly help me on it. What i have at the moment is an introductory letter from my employer and a religious organisation where i volunteer from time to time, leave application letter, also also provided a deed of agreement for a landed property that i have. Kindly help as i would really love to be guided before i put in the application. Hope to get all set before mid april incase i need additional account, otherwise i can do it in the space of 1 week. Thank you so much guys as i await your sincere feedback. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Qudkom(m): 5:50pm On Mar 25, 2019 |
olaola17: I must say the chances of getting your application approved using a family friend is very slim. The Visa officers would need to understand why someone that isn't related to you will cough out millions to fund you. As a case sample I know someone that used a family friend which worked but her mum was also a co-sponsor. So I'll advice you to have a relative. Also, it will be advisable to pay your tuition or at least a fraction of it preferably through your family friends account (please familiarise yourself with the schools refund policy first!!!). Lastly, your family friend needs to submit his CAC certificate if he will be using a company account. I also have to inform you that a company account is tricky because they will need to understand why his using company funds to sponsor you. Lastly, you need to tidy up your home ties and I hope your program is related to your work experience and previous degree. All the best. 3 Likes |

Dear Nairalander, I will like your advise on my application, here is my profile: Early last year I gained admission into cenetennial college, program: Food science technology Fast-Track (It is a 2year program) In May 2018, I applied for student visa and I was denied June 4th 2018. Reason for denial; Purpose of Visit, Current employment status and Personal assets and financial Status. As at then I was a corper and therefore was serving as a teacher in a government school. I showed evidence that I was serving so I guess it was a red flag cos getting the visa meant I will ignore my Nysc and travel. Anyways I decided to complete my NySC before applying. So in November I completed my Nysc, I traveled to London, returned in November, traveled to France in January, returned in Feburary. However after my service, I decided to work in my Dad's company as a project manager since I couldnt seem to secure a job as a food technologist in Nigeria, whilst working with him, i realised I actually liked working as a project manager and I will like to be certified in Management and I can even take over from him when he retires. And so I wrote to the school and Change my program from Food science to Global business management(Please bear in mind that My BSC is in Genetics and Biotech which is related to food science but not related to Global business management). Now I want to reapply for the visa, do you me changing my course will negatively affect the outcome?, also I have heard that the embassy dose not regard admission from colleges how true is this? Because my course is a PostGraduate Certificate program. ALso in reapplying , what do I say in response to the VO's conclusion? do I reply the denial letter and also submit a statment of purpose letter? or are they one and the same? Thanks awaiting your response |

APPROVAL ALERT!!! God has been faithful to me . Silent reader here, but this thread has really been helpful. App submitted: Feb 22 Route: Paper (Ghana) Biometrics: Feb 22 Eligibility review: March 5th Medical Request : March 5th Medical Done: March 7th Medical Passed: March 15th Validity of biometrics: March 25th APPROVAL: March 25th Conestoga College FALL 2019 Pgd Enhanced Nursing practice My little piece of advice . Pray , package your application well, do not leave anything out especially if you talked about it in your SOP and please read through the previous threads before asking a question that has already been answered. Or simply google a key word and type Nairaland at the end of it, some threads with same words would pop up . You can also check the first page of each thread, there’s a simpler way to search for things on the thread.Put in some effort and research online about the schools and their programs and admission policies . 16 Likes |
