adewumiopeyemi: IELTS is an English proficiency test which are primarily taken by applicants who are coming from a non-english speaking country (India, Cameron, Sweden, Germany etc..) so as to ascertain their language proficiency level prior to their acceptance into the institution. Alternatively, IELTS general test are widely used for immigration purposes especially for applicants who are migrating permanently to Canada e.g Express Entry. 1 Like |

For you not to get banned from entering Canada, you better tell the truth, cos if you give them false info they will def know.. So save urself an unnecessary Ban and do the right thing.. Peace gatsbym4: 1 Like |

gatsbym4 You are in EE pool but you have not been given invitation to apply(ITA) and your have not applied for PR. Unless you have applied, being in EE pool is not same as having applied for PR. I'm also in the EE pool and I tick no regarding the PR question. makano: 4 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 11:26pm On Mar 25, 2019 |
Omarzx: It appears that you're not filling the right information. Please note that the DLI number starts with a letter O not zero (0). The length of your proposed program in Canada i.e start date and end date of the program MUST correlate with what you filled out on your study permit IMM1294 form. These are some of the common mistakes you could be making. More importantly, follow this STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE to LINK YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE Don't hesitate to seek help here, if encounter any difficulty along the line. |

gatsbym4: Being in the Express Entry pool doesn't implies that you've already applied for a permanent residency of Canada. You only created a profile. The answer here is NO. 1 Like |

peruz: There are no set out rules for the number of words that will be suitable for an SOP. You can write as much as you can provided that it's persuasive, straight forward and concise. A 2-3 pages SOP is adequate for a first time applicant. Therefore, your SOP should cover the following core areas; 1-) Describe your academic and professional background briefly, 2-) The program of choice, 3-) The school, 4-) Why you wish to undertake your program in Canada not Nigeria considering the high cost of international students and the local option available in your home country, 5-) Financial Provisions, how you intend to finance your studies in Canada without working and no recourse to public funds, 6-) Future Goals and Prospects, what you intend to achieve at the end of the program and how it might benefit you in the future and to your country men, 7-) Your home ties to Nigeria that can motivate your return home after authorized stay. This can be your immediate family members, registered business, landed properties, investments with the bank, spouse and kids. Lastly, while drafting your SOP make an effort to back your points up with an evidence as this will speak well of you in your absence. Also, give your points in a logical manner, always be neutral and don't keep praising Canada and speaking ill about Nigeria because it will give the visa officer the impression that you're using study permit as means to abscond into Canada rather than educational advancement. 1 Like |

Hello house, please i need advice as my wife application was declined last month. I have been following this thread silently. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the IRPA and IRPR. I am refusing your application on the following grounds: 1. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your purpose of visit. She apply with our two kids as she going for her PhD program and I already paid one-year tuition fee to the school, and I already make the fund needed in her account and the kids account because I have been running the kids account since they are little. DOCUMENT SUBMITTED ADMISSION DOCUMENT FROM SCHOOL RECEIPT OF 1 YEAR TUITION FEE PAID MY HUSBAND COMPANY CERT, SHOWING MY WIFE AS ONE OF THE DIRECTORS. MY WIFE STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT OF 10M BAL AND MY SON ACCT SHOWING 10M BAL AS WELL CV. SCHOOL CERT SOP POLICE CERT AFFIDAVIT OF SPONSORSHIP SPONSOR LETTER CONSENT LETTER KIDS PASSPORT AND BIRTH CERTI MARRIAGE CERTI HUSBAND PROPERTY DOCUMENT HUSBAND BANK STATEMENT Please, I need advise on how to convince the VO. AND WHAT DOC DO YOU THINK I NEED TO SHOW IF AM TO PROOF THEM WRONG THAT I WILL COME BACK I will really appreciate ur help 1 Like |
