Timothyphillips: Simon Fraser University is a good institution. There have never been a misconception that getting a PR and a job for your spouse after graduation is difficult. Fortunately, this applicant Godatwork23 got his TRV approval last week and he is heading to Simon Fraser University for his Master's, you might want to contact him if you need further guidance from him. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Frankrobbn1: 9:03am On Mar 26, 2019 |
Omarzx: To correct a form after application submission, you have to fill out the complete form where the error lies and send it across to Kenya (Nairobi) Immigration department via this email: nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca The subject of the mail should bear URGENT, along side your FULL NAME, UCI NUMBER, APPLICATION NUMBER AND DATE OF BIRTH. Also send the updated form through THE NAIROBI WEBFORM In the body of the mail, you should state that during your application process the form (QUOTE THE NAME OF THE FORM) that was wrongly filled and now you're attaching with this mail the amended one. Hence, you would request that the form be appended with your ongoing application and updated on your MyCIC account within the shortest possible timeframe. Lastly, thank them for the success so far in processing your TRV application. 1 Like |

TRV processing time update 26/03/2019 Congratulations to all those who got their approvals this month! We now have a sample of 18 hopefuls. Please i would encourage those that have applied this year to please share their timeline (which should include; the application date, application route, biometrics request date, date biometrics was done, medical request date, date medicals was done, date medicals was passed, and the current status). If you don't have all this information, you can just share the ones that you have and update the rest as you receive it. This information would help us study or attempt to establish a pattern to how CIC operates. We have made attempts to "calculate" processing times. (Please note that this is just an average based on the little sample we have. Your processing time may be faster or slower than the average). As we get more samples, I want to believe our calculations would be more "accurate". Finally, If there is anything you think i should add to the data or calculate from the data, please share with me. 5 Likes

@frankrobbn1 Please I need your assistant as no medical was requested before her application was denied and She didn't include that she was serving in the last application. Can I include it now if shes reapplying? But she will be done with her NYSC next 2 month and she wants to re-apply for September intake. |

gig1005: What did you fill as her current activity on her study permit application form IMM1294? Yes, you can include the information on her next application that she is presently serving her home country and will be done in 2 months time. I have seen applicants who got approvals even while active on their NYSC program. 2 Likes |

Hello to you all, I am very new on this platform but I have been going through the threads. Please, I need your evaluations and advice. I applied for a study visa with my two kids last year December and was denied solely on the basis that they are not satisfied I will leave Canada after my study. A new session will start by September 2019, can I still re-apply with my kids but this time with my uncle who holds a political position writing a letter and promising me work when I get back to serve as home-tie. Also, is there any document I need to add to make for a strong case. Hoping to read replies soon... Thank you all 1 Like |

@Frankrobbn1 She owns a small mini-mart in my estate before she went for her NYSC service. but this is the reason of her refusal. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the IRPA and IRPR. I am refusing your application on the following grounds: 1. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your purpose of visit. She apply with our two kids as she going for her PhD program and I already paid one-year tuition fee to the school, and I already make the fund needed in her account and the kids account because I have been running the kids account since they are little. Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Qudkom(m): 9:59am On Mar 26, 2019 |
gig1005:Sorry about your refusal, although some things need proper clarification: 1. How old are your kids? 2. You need to order GCMS note 3. From the look of things she met every requirement and the "Purpose of visit" was because she applied with the kids. Ideally the children are meant to be her (home ties) that is a proof she will be coming back after her studies. But since she applied with them that probably spooked the Visa officer that she'd probably not come back after her studies. 4. Also they probably thought since the children have a guardian(Father) back in Nigeria why is she taking them along? Lastly, she only had only one reason for the refusal which is positive, I will advice you order gcms noteto get a comprehensive detail of why it was refused and in the next application she applies alone. All the best. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Tshoow: Please it doesn't matter if your uncle is the vice president. Your kids prove that you are going to come home hence, they serve as your home ties. I will suggest you don't make the same mistake and order your gcms note to get a comprehensive detail why your application was refused. The VO obvious thought since you are applying with your kids it means you don't plan on coming back |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by DMerciful(m): 10:08am On Mar 26, 2019 |
With regards to your previous rejection, did you mention in the form you filled that you have been rejected before? Did you input the UCI number? Did you do another biometrics? These questions will help the VO to know if you are intentionally trying to hide something or not. I was rejected in 2017 when I applied for visitor's visa but I filled the details in my form however I did not mention it in my letter of explanation because I already indicated it in my form Damlovey: |

Eddie31: Well you need to read the thread at least from Part 11. But for starters: 1. You can't apply for msc. because of your low gp and you should consider advanced diploma, graduate certificate and post baccalaureate diploma courses when you want to apply to schools. 2. Ensure there is a correlation between your bsc degree and the program your applying for. Start from there, and when you get an admission you cam come back for more advice if you need. gig1005: Hi gig. So sorry about your wife's refusal. Please let her apply without her kids for now. Also, I'll suggest she asks around in her department for a Professor with grant to support her research costs. Since, you've paid tuition, having funding for her actual research (PhD research gulps a lot of money) It will make things lighter. I'm sure she will get with her Ph.D. admission, she just needs to ask. This time around, let her apply alone. Immediately she gets her trv, she can apply for her kids. I wish you guys the best |

Weldone here, your effort on this is highly appreciated But just a suggestion can a section of the term you intend to resume be added to the data you are collecting Because I observe most that have been approved have been processed within two month My is September 2019 sillysassysally: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by DMerciful(m): 10:21am On Mar 26, 2019 |
For married people with kids applying for TRV, one of your biggest home ties are your kids. Apply alone and leave the kids behind, when you get there you will be given a letter by the international student department to bring your family over. My younger brother did it and that's what I intend doing. This can take as little as 4 months for your family to join you. Applying to go with your kids from the onset is a red flag! 3 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 10:37am On Mar 26, 2019 |
StacieG: Please if you can see this, kindly screenshot the primary/lead VO remarks so that I can help you further and maybe attract more people to see into this case For the workload and fatigue, I don't know where you got that from cause Canadian visa application is mostly handled by TWO VOs or more (though the lead/primary VO is the main thing). They do work sharing with VOs. No one can tell how they work but they do work. Nonetheless, they forwarded your application to their colleagues (it's not because of fatigue or workload) They were assigned for it by IRCC you can check it in your gcms assessment details Your current/next application may suffer adversely if the previous information and documents related to your background contradict your next visa application. |

Tshoow: hello,my little piece of advice will be simple. just apply alone for now,use your kids as your strong home ties and you can bring them later. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 10:50am On Mar 26, 2019 |
Tshoow: Sorry for your wifey visa refusal, if your child/children are toddlers, in no reason should wifey leave them behind (apply for preschool or daycare in her province). Unless she has a convincing reason by leaving her kids behind to grandma or sister or if she didn't submit their birth certificates. I don't know if you're a male or female (this is for female). If Nah man you be, you know try by including your kids in your study application Please order for your Gcms note Have a great day. Moreover, Ph.D. should come out with something, tell her to get back to the school and ask for some percentage or full funding. No harm in trying. Order for your Gcms note, Ph.D. Visa is not as tough as ours (the problem could come from her SOP/LOE) @gig1005 it also applies to you. 2 Likes |
